Captain Becket had been in his ready room for a while and had been thinking about somethings. As the last mission that the Ark Angel had been through. He then tapped his badge. =/\= “Lieutenant Commander Yoshida to my ready room please. =/\= He again tapped his combadge again. With the most recent mission concluding, he had thought that his first officer should get a well-deserved promotion

Shinichi had been meditating in his quarters, the gentle music of shakuhachi flute playing over the speakers. he was dressed in a simple gi and hakama, his right arm left out of the gi sleeve as he focused on letting go of the trials and tribulations of the last mission, clearing his mind for what lay ahead, but not focusing on that either. He planted his awareness firmly in the now.

the call came over the intercom from the captain. Shinichi raised an eyebrow and responded, =/\= I’ll be there shortly, Captain.=/\=
He leaned over and hit the side of the metal singing bowl that was seated next to him and allowed the musical note to vibrate through the air, signaling the end of his meditation and returning him from his separate state of mind.

After he dressed into his normal uniform, he made his way to the Captain’s ready room and chimed the door.

Becket heard the chime go off and smiled. “Enter Commander.” He said smiling. With nothing else to say he grabbed a cup of coffee along with a pot with the coffee. Sitting down behind his desk once again smiling.

Yoshida entered at his call, not immediately registering what the Captain had implied. He had probably just misheard him. “You called for me, Captain-” He stopped as he noticed the Captain smiling at him. Something about it made him feel like he missed something. “Captain? Is there something I don’t know about?”

Alex stepped up. “You are hereby promoted to full commander congrats” he said with a smile.

Shinichi’s eyes blinked and widened at the news. “Th-Thank you, Captain,” he said through his surprise, “I was unaware you were looking to give such a promotion.” Yoshida gave a deep bow to the captain, and said, “Domo Arigato, Captain-Sama. It has been an honor serving with you. I hope to continue serving my duties to your esteemed satisfaction.” He rose and returned the Captain’s smile.

“You earned it commander. If there isn’t anything else.” He said handing Yoshida a pad with his duties for the mission. “Here’s this. Your gonna need to look over them.” He added.

Yoshida took the PaDD and gave a sharp bow of his head to the captain. “Yes, Sir.” He did a sharp turn and headed out of the room and back to his quarters to begin going over the report.
