Ollie made his way down to Sickbay to check one of the final things off his list. He wandered into the main area and looked around. Things seemed fairly calm, which was to be expected since they hadn’t arrived to their mission yet. He hoped for everyone’s sake that it would stay calm but, of course, he also knew that it could go the other way very easily and everyone would need to be prepared.

He caught the eye of one of the medical staff and gave a polite nod and smile, then waited to be assisted.

After a few moments of waiting, Ollie caught the eye of one of the nurses again. When they stopped briefly he said, “So sorry, I know you are all busy but I was hoping someone could see me for my onboarding physical?”

The nurses nodded toward an empty biobed, “Have a seat there and one of the doctors will be with you as soon as they can.”

Ollie took a seat as ordered and waited.

Spenn approached the COS. “My apologies for the wait. There was a battle in the cafeteria where foods were used as projectile weapons.” He explained in all seriousness. “Name and rank?”

Ollie raised an eyebrow at the mention of a food fight, he would no doubt be reading a report on that later.

“No worries, doctor, I trust nobody was too gravely injured? I’m Lieutenant Junior Grade Oliver Ezeami, the new security chief.”

Spenn blinked, “There were no major injuries.”

“Speaking of injuries, do you possess any ailments or sickness that would prevent you from doing your duty?” Spenn asked the COS passionlessly.

Ollie held back a smile, Vulcan efficiency at its finest. He appreciated spending the occasional moment with Vulcans as their usual calmness was a respite from the volley of emotions he picked up from other races.

“No Doctor, I am currently free from any ailments or sicknesses.”

“And how is your eyesight?” Spenn asked immediately.

“My eyesight is perfect. I’ve qualified several times as a sharpshooter with a phaser, including just before I transferred to Ark Angel,” he replied.
