Kimimela had been aboard the transport shuttle for two days. It had been a bit of a feat to get to her posting aboard the Ark Angel. She had been given the wrong docking area, then they told her they didn’t have her transport orders, even though they were right in front of them on the PaDD she held in her hand. Kimi’s mother, put a calming hand on Kimi’s arm “Give them a chance. They are probably just new and still learning how to look things up.” Kimi looked at her mother “Mother, these orders have been in the system for three weeks. I had made arrangments prior to coming home and I was assured that there would be no issues.” She said rather irritated “So who do I complain to? The Gods or transporation department.”

Gelyora sighed looking at her youngest daughter ~Daughter, you need to calm yourself. Having a temper tantrum will not make this any better.~ Geloyra sent through their shared bond. Kimi took a deep breathing ~Of course mother, I just don’t want the headache of this. I was prepared.~ A few moments later, a Lt dressed in command red came up “Crewman Kapua?” Kimi stood up “Yes sir.” He gave her a tired smile “I apologize for the issues that have happened today. The person that entered your travel arrangements at command, didn’t enter them correctly which is why we couldn’t find them. I have confirmed that you are traveling to the USS Ark Angel. Your shuttle will be leaving in 45 minutes at this docking ring.” He reached out his hand “Sorry for the confusion again. Have a safe journey.” Kimi nodded “Thank you sir. I appreciate your help.”

Kimi turned to her mother ~You were right mother. I’m sorry for letting my emotions get the better of me. I’m nervous and am not sure what to expect.~ She told her mother through their bond. Her mother gently kissed her cheek “You’ll do find my little turtle. As promised her shuttle was ready to leave in 45 minutes. A final good by and she was off on a new adventure.

As the shuttle came up to the USS Ark Angel, the pilot hailed the ship =^= USS Ark Angel this is Shuttle Hercules with a crew transfer.=^=. They waited for an acknowledgement from the ship.

Kapua (yeoman)

Becket was sitting in his ready room and heard the hail. =/\=Shuttle Hercules. This is the USS Ark Angel Captain Becket responding. You are clear to dock in Shuttlebay 1.=/\=. He had replied with a smile.

The pilot carefully guided the shuttle into the bay and set down without a hitch. Once the bay was repressurized, Kimi stepped off the shuttle and took in her new surroundings. The young yeoman, thanked the pilot and headed for the Bridge to report for duty. She walked through the corridors of the ship on her way to the deck. Once in the lift, she sent the car to the Bridge and shifted impatiently from one foot to the other. As the doors opened onto the bridge, she stepped out and looked for the Captain.

Captain Becket had left his ready room and saw a young yeoman standing on the bridge. “Ah. You must be the new Yeoman.” He held out his hand. “Welcome aboard the Ark Angel.” He added at the end.

Kimi nodded “Yes sir. I am your new Yeoman. Here are my transfer orders.” She said handing over the PaDD to the Captain “I’m Crewman Kimimela Kapua. Everyone calls me Kimi.” She added “I look forward to working with you and hope that I meet your expectations.” She added.
