Having concluded his time with Lt. Grey, Yoshida went then to the Operations Office to finish his meetings for the day. He thought he would be working very closely with Lt. Storm, in both their capacity as Chief of Operations and as the Chief Helmsman. As Yoshida was to be the one mainly manning the bridge, he’d be working with Storm very closely. Then, when he was off the bridge, he’d need to be monitoring the daily operations of the ship and having a capable officer under him in that position would prove most valuable.

Yoshida approached the Operations Office and rang the door chime, feeling that his day had been filled with pressing this single button repeatedly.

Yoshida entered as the doors swished open. “Good evening,” he said as he stood across from Lt. Storm. “I’ve been meeting with the Department Heads to introduce myself and establish where command can assist your department. I saved our meeting to the end so that we can take more time to talk. I feel that I will be working closely with Operations in making sure this ship runs smooth.”

“of course and dont worry i have told my team to not put a scratch in the ship while we are underway” Storm said ” can i get you a drink?”

“Good to hear,” Yoshida said, taking a seat, “I will have some chai, if you could. Shall we talk about your department and any support you might need to assist in your performance?”

as soon as Storm heard the lieutenant commanders request he walked over to the replicator “chai tea hot” he said he then turned to the commander and said ” that sounds like a wonderful idea as of right now my department is focusing on doing a daily inspection of all the craft in the shuttle bays to see which ones are operational and which ones need repair.”

Yoshida nodded as he took the offered tea. “Very good. We will need to be able to trust in our shuttles on this upcoming assignment, I feel. How is the progress coming?”
