I’d like to take a moment OOC to officially welcome our newest addition to the USS Ark Angel command team: Alexander, who will be stepping into the role of Executive Officer. This position is one of the most important on the ship, both IC and OOC, and we’re excited to have someone dedicated, motivated, and ready to contribute to the growth of our community.

The XO role is more than just a title—it’s a leadership position that helps keep the ship organized, active, and running smoothly behind the scenes. Alexander will be assisting with coordination, player engagement, event support, and ensuring that ship operations remain consistent. His presence will help strengthen both the roleplay environment and the overall structure of the Ark Angel.

I selected Alexander because of his strong commitment to the server, their reliability, and their proven ability to work collaboratively with others. The XO is the bridge between the crew and command, and it requires someone who understands communication, accountability, and team-building. Alexander has demonstrated all of these qualities and more.

As we continue shaping upcoming missions, storylines, and department development, having a capable XO will make a significant difference. Alexander will help support new and existing members, assist in maintaining activity, and provide input into how the ship evolves. Their voice will be instrumental in improving our environment for everyone.

Please remember that the Executive Officer is also here to support players OOC. If you have questions, concerns, or need help navigating any part of the ship’s operations, Alexander will be available to assist. This role exists not just for leadership, but for community reinforcement and player support.

We also want to encourage everyone to welcome Alexander warmly and treat him with the same respect and cooperation you’ve shown to me. The success of our ship depends on teamwork, and I’m confident that Alexander will fit right in with the high standards I hold on the Ark Angel.

This marks an exciting step forward for our group, and we’re looking forward to the energy, ideas, and consistency Alexander will bring to the table. Having a strong XO strengthens the entire ship, and we know this addition will help push the Ark Angel into an even better phase of growth and activity.

Once again, welcome aboard, OOC, Alexander. We’re happy to have you with us, and we’re excited to see what we can build together as a command team and as a roleplay community.

Story of my life. Too many Alex’s.

I’m very happy to assume this position on such a remarkable shift. There was a brief time when I was onboard the Ark Angel as a security ensign when I was still starting out and getting used to roleplaying on this server. I remember then how well the stories were written and how well the players engaged with them. I am truly honored for a chance to join that and help guide it along it’s course.

Allow me to leave you with a poem by Wal Whitman.
