Alex had then walked into the observation lounge and sat there waiting for the rest of his senior staff. Thinking of what to expect. He was thinking of how to make sure to initiate the away team. He is thinking maybe two away teams. However not enough members to do it.

Spenn entered the observation lounge with his hands behind his back. He had heard of the Starbase 342 conundrum and had begun to form several possible explanations as to what had happened.

“Greetings, Captain,” He said upon noticing Captain Becket.

He looked up and saw the Lieutenant. “Welcome in Lieutenant.” He said looking up after looking up from his pad.

James walked just after Doctor Spenn, he was holding a grey hair in his hand, staring at it in concern as he absently gave the Captain a nod and sat down.

Cross followed the CSO in and just caught the other man’s concerted look at what looked to be a grey hair in his hand. He gave the man a commiserating smile as he made his own way to a seat at the briefing table. As he sat he nodded at to the Captain and the CMO.
“Captain, Doctor.” He said in greeting.

“Welcome in counselor and of course welcome aboard. Where is everyone else at?” He asked. “Anyways. Command has given us our first mission. It is said that starbase 342 has been attacked however, we have no idea by who. Starbase 342 is one of our starbases along the Klingon neutral zone. However, command is unsure of who did it and why they did it. Some say that it could’ve been the Klingons. Some say that it could’ve been the Romulans. Command isn’t sure exactly that’s why they asked us to go and investigate. Starbase 342 had also have said to command that there could’ve been boarders as well. I want to have at least two away team parties. One on the East side on the starbase and one on the west side. We’ll meet up in the command center on the starbase and go together. Anyone have any ideas of how to get on board without detection?” Captain Becket ask his senior staff.

Spenn looked at the layout of Starbase 342 on his PADD. The ventilation system seemed to be a logical means of entry. “Perhaps we can enter through the ventilation system, Captain.”

He sat there with a nod. “The ventilation system. How many are there like another access point for Jeffries tubes in that area?” He asked.

“If I understand your query, there are 23 complete Jeffries tube systems.” Spenn replied, not completely understanding the Captain’s question.

Riley entered the room and quickly took his set. He was late because he was taking the bridged warp core apart and returning the cores to there shuttles. Even from this room he felt like he can feel the hum of the engine he rebuilt almost to 100% only a few parts are needed

Becket had thought about the answer. “Lieutenant O’Nell. How many Jefferies tubes are on a starbase?” He asked these Chief engineer.

Cross sat back and listened as none of this was really in his expertise.

Counselor Alex Cross

He sat there still awaiting for something from the Chief Engineer. “The reason why I ask is that I’m thinking of having two Away teams for two sections of the starbase. Not sure how well it’ll be.” He brought up.

“There are about 32 that run close to the outter hull an 10 of them connect to storage closet or Maintenance closet. If we beam a away team we should target one of those closets it’s out of the way and if there’s someone there to away team can arrive unseen” he said running the number in his head

Lt. Riley O’Nell (CE)

As he hears the answer he thought. “I like that idea. Right now as we are short an XO, I’m gonna need someone to lead the away team. There might be some sort of crew on board the starbase that could use a counselor. And medical treatment. I would suggest that our Medical Chief can go with the away team and our counselor stays here on board the Ark Angel. In case we need to beam the away team and the survivors from the starbase back for medical treatment and counseling treatment. Do we have any objections to that idea?” Captain Becket had said and asked his senior staff.

“I don’t like it captain but i should be part of the team if power is down or the computers offline I can use my engineering skills to open doors and I know how to get around” he said pulling the base schematics up “a lot of places to get lost in” he aside

Lt. Riley O’Nell (CE)

He kind of smiled. ” Lieutenant O’Nell, that was the plan. You are going over there anyways. I’m assigning you to lead the away team anyway.” He said to Lieutenant O’Nell.

storm had a puzzled look on his face as he just arrived “apologies for my tardiness commander” he said ” heres the completed audit on the shuttle craft if you want to send the away team on one” he said as he handed in the data pad

He looked at Lieutenant Storm. “Lieutenant. We will be transporting over. Mr. O’Nell is going to be commanding the away team, while I’m here on the ship monitoring everything. The counselor will be here on board within Sickbay. The doctor will be going over and seeing who needs to be transported back on board the Ark Angel, and I’ll need one other officer on the bridge with me. Who is down to do so?” Becket asked.

Cross nodded. Fortunately he was comfortable in sickbay so he should be able to contribute if needed.

Counselor Alex Cross

James had been engrossed with the grey hair in his hand as the conversation went on. There hadn’t been anything for him to comment on, so he didn’t. He looked at the Captain with a curious expression “A few points it seems we’ve glossed over, which is not a large surprise as we do not have a security specialist at hand currently” He crossed his legs and tapped a finger on the desk, smiling at his new crewmates, he hadn’t really gotten a chance to work together so he was trying to go easy but he had been in Starfleet for a very long time “First, we don’t know the situation in system, nor the situation on the station. Whilst it is good to have contingencies, we can’t decide our point of entry until we have a clear picture of the situation.” He spoke in a slow, soothing voice, his teacher’s voice.

Second, we have junior officers to pad out teams if we want to split them, but of course, you are right to assign Senior staff to lead them Sir” He addressed the Captain “If Chief O’Nell is your choice for away team lead then I suggest Sanks as his second in case they need to split up and I volunteer myself for Bridge duty. I passed the Bridge Officers test in the seventies,” He smiled wanly at that thought “I also suggest preparing Sickbay for triage if necessary, and that the security teams be fully armed of course.”
