T’Shura made her way through the ship in a bit of a daze. She reached the Captain’s Ready Room doors with no memory of the walk through the corridors or ride on the turbo lift. She didn’t even have a memory of crossing the bridge. Taking a deep breath she reached up and rang the chime.

Ciaran was sitting in his ready room, just finished chatting with the new CNS. He was now expected the new CSO so he assumed this is who it would be. He then said, “Enter.” He waited for the person to enter his ready room.

T’Shura entered the Captain’s ready room feeling like she was walking in a dream.
“Captain,” She said as she stopped before the Captain’s desk, hands held behind her back. “Sir, I must request Emergency Leave due to several deaths in my family. Vulcan Command contacted me to let me know they have dispatched a shuttle to meet with the Ark Angel and deliver me to Vulcan.”

Ciaran looked up at T’Shura with concern but knew there would not be any on her face and responded with, “Granted. I hope everything is alright. You are welcome back any time. If there is nothing else, you are dismissed.”

Relieved that the Captain hadn’t asked for details, T’Shura nodded. “Thank sir, it has been a privilege to serve under you. I hope to return to service after the necessary things have been seen too.” Turning she made her way out of the Ready Room to prepare to meet the Vulcan shuttle.
