MaQ found his way about the ship and headed to Main Engineering to report. As he walked though the ship, he noticed some stare at him for a moment before moving back to their tasks. He had seen this throughout his time among Starfleet and had grown used to it. As he walked into main Engineering, he spotted the Chief Engineer from the description he was given and walked towards him and said, “Lt Becket, I am Ensign MaQmlgh, reporting for duty as an Engineer.”

Becket saw the you g Ensign and hadn’t noticed he had gotten another officer. He then smiled. “Hello Ensign MaQmlgh. I am Lieutenant Alex Becket. I’m the Chief Engineer here on the Ark Angel. Please follow me to my office.” He said with a smile looking at the Ensign.

MaQ looked at the Lieutenant and responded, “Aye Sir.” as he handed the PADD, with his orders on it. MaQ wondered what type of man this Lieutenant Becket was and figured he would find out in the near future.

Alex then takes the PADD and goes over it. “Just fresh out of the academy I see here. Impressive. What brought you to engineering?” Alex asked.

MaQ thought for a moment and answered the CE’s question with, “Sir, my foster family on Earth were engineers and I wish for them to be proud of me.” MaQ continued to walk a half step behind the Lieutenant.
