The ship’s lounge was always a nice place to hang out, and today was no exception. Tak had the day off, and decided to spend the afternoon socialising. They sat near the bar, holding a ukelele-like instrument and picking at it in a cheerful ditty.Ensign Tak
Science Officer USS Ark AngelEthan walked into the lounge, a personal PADD tucked under one arm. He had a couple of hours before his next shift and was looking to catch up on some reading he hadn’t had time for. Noticing the cheerful tune, he smiled and made his way over to the Ensign. “Thats a nice tune! Cant say I’ve seen that instrument before.”

Medical Officer USS Ark AngelTak inclined their head in greeting. “It is my Tor’she,” they replied, finishing up a movement before pausing their playing. Tak enjoyed playing, it reminded them of soft sand, warm sun, and the crash of waves. This song, in particular, rustled up some long-forgotten memories of their lost sibling. Esan had loved to sing while Tak and Pok played, her voice lilting through the air to accompany the strums of Tak’s Tor’she and the resonant beats of Pok’s steelpan. They pushed the memories away and smiled, focusing on the now. “I played much more in my younger years, I am a little rusty with a lack of practice.”

T’Mor came into the lounge, looking for Ensign Tak. She spotted them with sitting with their instrument, talking with the medical officer, who she didn’t recognize.
“Ensign Tak,” she greeted, “I hope I am not interrupting anything. I understand it is your leisure time. However, I do need someone I can trust to properly handle and store some biological materials related to our upcoming mission. When you are back on duty, of course.”
T’Mor still wasn’t used to giving orders, or delegating tasks to others. Which is why she needed the practice. It was a simple task Tak could finish themselves, and would be one less thing T’Mor had to personally oversee.
