MaQmlgh knew most of his belongings were already aboard ship but there were a lot of family heirlooms. He knew his family was in Stovokor and were waiting for him there but as the last in his family, he hoped he could live up to his family name in Starfleet. The Transporter Chief at Starbase 243 broke MaQ out of thought and asked, “Are you ready to beam over Sir?” and with that MaQ said, “Energize.”

The next think MaQ knew, he was in Transporter Room 3 on the USS Ark Angel. This was his first assignment out of the Academy and would do his best to make his family name proud as an Engineer onboard. He thanked the Chief on duty and walked out of the Transporter Room.

When MaQ arrived at his new quarters, his next-door neighbour was emerging from theirs. “Hello! You seem new? I would love to chat but I am currently late for my shift!!” Tak gave their new neighbour a polite wave before scurrying away down the corridor towards the turbolift.

MaQ looked at his neighbor and said, “Hello, I am one of the new Engineers on the ship, it is nice to meet you.” It was a labor to remember pleasantries as a Klingon.

MaQ watched the Ensign walk away and started heading towards main Engineering to meet his supervisor.
