While after a while in engineering now officially on his own, he had worked on keeping things going and running however he had decided to step away and get something to eat. So he went to the mess hall and finally got something to eat. He had sat down with a pad in his hand and started to look at the ships schematics a lot more.Lieutenant Junior Grade Alex Becket

U.S.S. Ark Angel“Is this seat available?” T’Mor asked, stepping up to the table with a tray. Besides being in an unusually social mood, she also wanted to have a chance to introduce herself to the rest of the department heads.

“Please Lieutenant sit. I would like to have the company anyways.” He replied.

U.S.S. Ark AngelT’Mor sat down with her meal, and brought out her own reading material. Keeping up with the latest in scientific research was vital, especially in her role as Chief Science Officer. There was still room for polite conversation, however.
“Is this your first assignment as Chief Engineer?” she asked.
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
“That is correct. Yes. That’s why I have 2 to 3 pads here with engineering stuff. I’ve had to work in engineering by myself because I don’t have any J.O. around.” She replied nicely. “Is this your first assignment as Chief science officer?” He asked.

U.S.S. Ark Angel“Yes. I have been Chief Science Officer for less than a year. I was promoted after our previous department head left,” she said.
“I find I am still getting used to the position.”
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
“You took over from your previous Department Head. Well that’s good. Yes getting used to something that your not used to sure it’ll take time. But I believe in you.” She smiled as he looked at her.

U.S.S. Ark Angel“I will strive to make sure everyone’s confidence in my ability is maintained. The promotion was unexpected, and the responsibilities are quite different from what I’m use to.”
T’Mor took a sip of the tea she had brought over with her meal.

Becket looked at T’Mor and slightly smiled, after taking a sip of his coffee. “Well, I know you’ll be a great Department Head. Yes, it will be different, but I believe in you. You must always believe in yourself as well. I mean I know it may seem odd.” He started to give a little flirty wink to her. “But you got this.” He finished.

U.S.S. Ark AngelT’Mor nodded, a quiet way of thanking him for his confidence.
“How did you come to be Chief Engineer? Was it a position you were striving for?”
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
“Well for a while now as of late, yes it was a position I was striving for. However, I was first assigned to the USS Saracen as a junior officer and a young ensign. I had orders to work in engineering there for a while and then had orders to be transferred here. Star-Fleet had found my work exemplary and found the Chief Engineer position here on board the Ark Angel. Never thought that it would’ve been possible but I got it. I, however, knew that it was for the best for me since my skills as an engineer were needed here. So I accepted the position and got transferred.” He started to explain to Lieutenant T’Mor.

U.S.S. Ark Angel“In all likelihood, then, you will be just as successful in your new position as I will be,” she replied, “Therefore, I believe you have potential as well.”
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
“Thanks. Listen, I know it is unusual. But would you like to have dinner in my quarters after our shifts?” He asked with a little smile.

U.S.S. Ark AngelEnsign Luna strides into the bustling mess hall, her pure white and black spekaled feathers catching the eye of several crew members. She scans the room with a keen gaze, her ice blue eyes almost perusing in nature.
As she steps forward, the chatter of conversations surrounds her, and the aroma of various intergalactic cuisines fills the air. She makes her way to the serving area, nodding politely to fellow officers and crewmates.
Once at the replicator. she selects a fruit salad, and oddly enough and orange soda. Her movements precise and confident. With her tray in hand, she navigates through the crowded tables, searching for a spot where she can enjoy her meal while keeping an eye on the room.
Ensign Luna
Alex had saw this young Ensign come in and smiles and gestures her to sit with both him and T’Mor.

U.S.S. Ark AngelT’Mor nodded in approval, also wanting the Ensign to join them. She responded to Alex’s offer with a polite correction,
“I will actually be spending the evening with my husband. He came aboard when we stopped at the station.”
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
Luna tilted her head, a mix of surprise and curiosity crossing her face. It was unusual for two department heads to want her company. A smile broke across her lips as she opened her wings ever so slightly, a gesture that only someone who knew her well would recognize as a subtle test of acknowledgment.
With a graceful movement, she took a seat at their table, the soft rustle of her wings a reminder of her unique heritage.
“How are you guys doing?” she asked, her voice warm and inviting. As she spoke, she scanned the room, her instincts on high alert as she searched for any signs of danger. The atmosphere was charged, and she could feel the tension lingering in the air. Satisfied that the immediate area was clear, she returned her attention to the two officers seated across from her.
Her expression shifted slightly, now more serious. “I hope everything is alright,” she added, her concern genuine. The weight of their responsibilities pressed upon her, and she felt an unspoken connection to them in that moment, knowing they were all navigating uncertain waters together.
Ensign Luna
“Everything is… fine, Ensign,” T’Mor reassured her.
“Though, I am uncertain about this change in command. I do not know much about our new Executive Officer. Only that she is a graduate of the Vulcan Science Academy.”
Lt., j.g. T’Mor, Chief Science Officer
Luna smiled, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. “No, I don’t trust this at all,” she said, her voice steady but firm. “The previous captain earned my respect through loyalty and skill. This new crew will have to prove themselves in the same way.” She crossed her arms, a gesture of both defiance and determination, as the weight of her past experiences hung heavily in the air. Trust, she knew, was not given lightly; it had to be earned through actions, not just words.
