USS Ark Angel

Rakia’s quarters (anyone welcome)

Rakia steps into her quarters aboard the Starfleet ship, her vibrant blue feathers shimmering under the overhead lights. She pauses for a moment, taking in the sleek, futuristic design of the space. She is not a fan to to sterile for her tast.

She moves to stands by the viewport of her quarters, gazing out at the stars, her heart heavy with longing. She absently twirls a colorful feather in her fingers, a memento from her home world.

As she looks out at the vastness of space, memories flood her mind: the vibrant colors of the flower fields, the sweet fragrances that filled the air, and the sounds of her people tending to their beloved plants.

“I miss the florist’s shop,” she whispers to herself, her voice tinged with nostalgia. “The way the blossoms danced in the wind, the gentle hum of life all around.”

She closes her eyes, envisioning the lush landscapes, the rich hues of petals, and the laughter of friends gathered in the marketplace. The absence of those familiar sights and scents feels like a void in her heart.

Taking a deep breath, she resolves to create a small garden in her quarters, even if just in spirit. Perhaps she can find a way to bring a piece of her home to this ship, a reminder of the beauty she holds dear. With renewed determination, she begins to plan how to decorate her space with vibrant colors and scents, hoping to capture even a fraction of her home’s essence. But that was a task for later now she had unpacking to do.

With a determined nod, she sets down her ornate travel cases, each adorned with intricate patterns from her home world. She opens the first case, revealing delicate artifacts and cultural items, carefully unpacking them one by one.

She places a beautifully crafted vase on the small table, adjusting it just so to catch the light, and hangs a colorful tapestry on the wall, its intricate design telling the story of her people.

As she moves about the room, she hums a soft, melodic tune, a ritual of her culture. She unrolls a woven mat in the center of the room for meditation, its vibrant colors a contrast against the sterile environment.

With a satisfied glance around, she prepares a small area for communication, setting up a holographic projector to connect with her home. The the young hopefully soon to be ambassador steps back, taking a deep breath, readying herself for the important diplomatic missions ahead, her heart full of hope and determination.
