Ethan entered the med bay and looked around taking in his new working space. Spotting a human Lieutenant in a blue uniform he moved over to them. “Hello im Ensign Koerner, recently transferred from the Challenger. I take it your the CMO Lieutenant Stacey?”

“Doctor would be more appropriate,” Gavin said, turning to the newcomer. Doctor Stacey motioned to an empty biobed, then followed suit. ” Your medical records from the academy should suffice for most of the boarding requirements, but I’m going to do a quick scan over for the ship’s medical records.”

“Ah of course. My apologies Doctor.” Ethan moved to the biobed and sat on the side. “I should mention i have an old injury in my right shoulder. Tore the muscle when i was younger, on a sailing vessel in the Irish Sea, took a little while to get back to land and the muscle didn’t quite heal properly. Hurts from time to time but doesnt affect anything. How long have you been on the ship?”

“Hmmm,” Gavin said as he listened to the new Doctor explain his past injuries. I’m surprised you haven’t gotten the muscle relooked at since this is probably something we can fix now, ” the CMO stated.

“I’ve been aboard the AA for around 3ish years,” Doctor Stacey added as he reviewed the biobed readings.

“Yeah my parents didn’t want me to get it fully repaired. ‘It’ll remind you of what your limits are’ they said. If you think its going to cause any issues im happy to get it re-looked at. Hasn’t been that bad really, just hurts a little every now and then.” Ethan said trying not to fidget as he laid in the biobed.

“Thats a decent amount of time! Any tips you can pass on about the ship?”

“I wouldn’t get too caught up trying to meet as many people as possible,” Gavin stated as he wound down the scans, “Try to focus on the people you interact with every day, and then slowly branch out from there.” The CMO glanced at the PaDD to ensure the scans had transferred, then patted the bed.

“So it looks like we should be able to fix your muscle, in a few weeks, but I don’t see anything else that would cause for concern,” Doctor Stacey said, “I’m able to clear you for duty, but did you get settled into your quarters yet? “
