Tom Stepped into the gym and sat down on a mat and began to stretch for his 5mile run. Even though it was not the same as a good cross country run on the holodeck it would have to do for now. Looking around it was emptier than he was expecting for six in the morning. His mind drifted back to his time in school he was always working to the next step fitness wise and today was no different. Tom wanted to be the best security officer on the ship the most prepared and fitness was a big part of that journey.

Luna entered the gym. She noticed the new officer studied him for a moment befor heading to the sparing area in the guy. She started looking through her options for a holographic appointment. A part of her wondering if the new guy was any good. She would have a sizable advantage of the vet him in a match. She was quicker and could get higher in the air then most others all things she related on.

Reed gave the ensign a nod as she walked by, smiling with a little chuckles remembered the brief encounter they had as she whooshed passed him outside the Chief’s office. “Ensign” he said acknowledging her presence. He then walked over to the tred mill to started into a brisk jog.

“ hi you the new guy right?” She asked as she continued looking though her options. “ I’m Luna” she added after a moment.

His feet pounded the in a moderate rhythm as he started his run. His head turned her direction, “I am new, Thomas Reed, my friends call me Tom, you are?” he asked between breaths.
