Lieutenant Kyle Anders, the ArkAngel’s Chief of Security jogged up behind the CO, eager to see what the new XO was all about. He was about to make introductions for himself, when he noticed Andone’s outstretched hand, so he decided to stay quiet for a moment in order to allow the man in front of them to respond.

Drudoc nodded after shaking his hand and turned, noticing then the chief of security, “..Ah Commander let me introduce Lieutenant Anders ship’s chief of security..” She said nodding to the man.

Ciaran looked back to where Commodore Drudoc was speaking and he did see the lieutenant. He then said, “Greetings lieutenant, I am Ciaran Donoghuei. I am the new executive officer for the Ark Angel. I look forward to getting to know all the department heads and working with everyone on the ship.” He then stuck his hand out towards the lieutenant for a hand shake.

“Pleasure’s all mine Commander,” Kyle replied, letting his Northern English twang ring out across the airlock.

Ciaran nodded at the command and said, “Thank you Lt.” He then turned to the Commodore and said, “Should we proceed to your office for a formal check in?” He waited for the response from the Commodore before assuming anything.

”..That will be fine Lieutenant Commander..” She said to her new Executive officer. Drudoc turned to her chief of security. “..Lieutenant I have a task for you, I would like you to stage an unexpected security drill simulating two intruders to the ship later this evening around 2200 hours or so. Yourself and one of your junior officers, or two NEs should garb yourselves to conceal outright identity, their purpose is to beam in undetected as possible on deck 34, avoid notice and attempt to break into torpedo storage on deck 36 with the intent to attempt sabotage on the launchers which if successful could simulate massive damage to the ship and our dock yard here while at Starbase 243. Your staff and any nearby on these decks and sections will be those evaluated. Success of the simulation is your staff or any associated crew in the area, raising the alarm of the intruders or successfully detecting and stopping the simulated sabotage effort. I have taken efforts already to ensure all civilian crew will be elsewhere during this timeframe or else in their own quarters. Please alert me to the outcome and any noteworthy efforts either way upon its completion by 0800 tomorrow at the morning meeting. I’ve also alerted Starbase 243 and the dockyard crew of this and ensured their cooperation and silence on the matter to avoid warning anyone else aboard. Any questions?” She asked.

Ciaran looked at the Commodore and said, “This sounds like an interesting simulation. I will be curious to see how it turns out.” He then paused for a second and then said, “Are we ready to discuss me arriving, Commodore?” He waited to hear the response and was ready to get started.

Drudoc nodded leading the way to a nearby turbolift, she was about to call out for deck 1 when her comm badge chirped, =/\= Tel’eck to Mom =/\= came a younger toned female voice.

”..One moment Commander..” she said to Donoghuei, tapping her badge she replied, =/\= ‘Mom’ here Tel’eck, I’m currently about to check in with our new XO. What do you need? =/\= she said.

=/\= Yeah I know you said that a bit ago, well I’m sorry to interrupt, but Susan and Bella’s folks need your permission for us three to go use holosuite 1 to run that new holo-horror program. That ok with you? =/\= She asked.

Donoghuei could see Drudoc’s stoic look stifle a sigh from coming out, =/\= Are they on this call? =/\= She asked.

=/\= Yes Commodore, we’re both here listening in, we don’t see a problem with our girls running the program, but we wanted to make sure you were ok with Tel’eck running it with them. =/\= A man’s voice said.

=/\= Alright, then I don’t see the problem, but Tel’eck if you end up scared again like the last horror-sim you ran with them this will be the last time for some time alright? =/\= Drudoc said.

=/\= Pish! Yeah ok Mom, thanks, Tel’eck out! =/\= she said closing the comms.

Barely missing a beat to her daughter closing the comm line, “..That as you may have guessed was my 13 year old half human daughter Tel’eck, you’ll probably get to meet her at some point in the near future.” Then she said, “..Deck 1, Bridge.” said to the computer and the lift began to move. As it rose and moved, Drudoc inquired, “..So Commander, is this your first posting to a Mythology class vessel?” she asked.
