It was very possible that T’Mor misread the strong suggestion to participate in the theme as an order. She slid through the door slowly, hoping no one would notice her. But for the sake of historical accuracy the outfit had to be rather extravagant. It was a style from Vulcan’s ancient history, about a century before the Time of Awakening. A long, red and purple skirt consisting of layered strips of fabric, each accented with a tail of glass beads that made way more noise than originally expected when she walked. Golden chains with various beads and charms were wrapped around her arms in simple patterns. Being completely historically accurate, her top would have only been a sash of fabric covering the top part of her torso. However, seeing that the dress had to be ‘appropriate’ for the children, she opted to where a white camisole underneath it, just to be sure.

She found a quite spot and tried to shrink into a corner, coming to regret her choices as she realized that the theme might have actually just been optional.

Without warning serenity popped up behind T’Mor. “You close are so pretty” she said excitedly.

A quick glans around would reveal Luna not far away. She was wherein a simple light blue dress. It was nothing fancy and certainly not part of the costume contest. Something in the ensign poster showed she was a bit more on eage then usual.

“The costume was optional?” Gavin asked as he walked up to the pair, “I probably would have put on a suit of some sort, not parade in this sweat suit.” He laughed, gesturing to his attire. Gavin was hoping someone would walk through the door looking as outlandish as he was.

T’Mor had to control herself enough to keep from blushing.

“I was not aware of that fact either,” she said, before turning to the young Cerenity, “This was a popular dress on Vulcan before the Time of Awakening. I’ve never considered it ‘pretty’, but that was the intention behind the design.”

If she was going to continue to wear the outfit at least she could turn it into a sort of history lesson for the young lady.

“‘Irreverent and frivolous’ was the style in those days, in both fashion and culture.”

She had noticed Luna was uncomfortable as well, but was unsure what to say to her.

Buckingham walked into the room also decked out an Earth Pirate. He sported a brown Tri-corn hat with gold trim around the brim of it. A cream Pirate’s shirt with ruffles around the cuffs and collar, which was quite open, showing a tasteful amount of chest. He also wore a leather Bandoleer over his shoulder across himself. He also had on a pair of black trousers, and pair bug brown leather boots.
In short, he felt ridiculous. But if it helped the kids, he was ready to put asides his feelings and have a little fun.

It was just a few minutes pass 1000 hours when the next person to join them entered. The trio coming in were made up of Tel’eck Andone, Drudoc’s half human/Romulan daughter now aged 14, another human teenage girl of similar age ranged, and the Romulan Commodore herself. Tel’eck was currently wearing a female version of what most male gangster’s worth on Earth in the 1920s.

Meanwhile her 14 year old human friend was wearing a similar outfit, though she also carried what seemed some kind of stylized cane.

Finally Drudoc came in wearing a stylish deep green-silver toned dress. Probably some kind of merging of styles from the 1920s on Earth with a more traditional Romulan ideas woven in.

The two teenagers quick took their leave of the older Romulan woman going over to a table claimed by some of the other teenagers on the ship, some dressed in various attire, others not. Drudoc meanwhile went over to speak to the serving staff and seemed to get an update on what was being offered.

“Looks like most of everyone is here already,” Gavin said, turning back to the group, “I wonder which pirate is going to win, though”, He laughed after noticing Buckingham in a pirate costume. The CMO was relieved, however. Their last mission had taken a mental toll, and he was glad to have some time to relax.

“And I sincerely hope one of you do…” T’Mor remarked under her breath. She crossed her arms, hiding her discomfort with considerable effort. Not being able to stand the thought of suddenly becoming the center of attention, especially while looking like this.

With a few more minutes passing at a signal from Drudoc three of the teachers for the younger preschool to 4th grade students were soon sheparding the 29 or so kids of various ages to the front near the podium and small raised stage Drudoc was near. “..If I can have everyone’s attention please? Before we begin the award and notations from our last mission, as is our custom aboard the Ark Angel after every mission I would like those participating in this parties theme for educating the students before me to come forward. I would like each person to give a general overview of the clothing the wear, what era and culture it came from and what impact it had on the society or time period in question for better or worse. The children or teachers may then ask a question or two for later testing in their class, and then the children will collectively vote on who they liked they best..” she said gesturing then to a sheet covered small stand nearby. “..The winner then will receive something made by the 4th grade class this time..”

She then turned awaiting those present to come up to begin then their presentation once ready.

cerenity quickly flitted to spot where her class was.

Gavin thought he had better get this over with and was the first to approach the stage, after nearly knocking over an Orion who had the same idea. “Mid-17th century pirate from Earth,” The CMO said after getting on stage. The doc turned in a circle for all to see, then returned to face the audience. “While not all pirates wore this attire, this stereotype was given to those that made their living stealing from ships and coastal towns along the North American coast and Caribbean Islands,” Gavin stated, then pointed to his fake parrot. “Parrots may have been held captive by a pirate, most were seen as valuable and sold at market,” He added, “The form of pirate that I’m portraying gradually ended during the early 1700s, though piracy continued on the seas for another 300 odd years”. Gavin then waited to see if the class had any questions.

“But why would you hold a bird captive that’s messed up” Cerenity said shaking her head.

luna kept her distance and watched.

Ciaran arrived at 17/18 Forward after speaking with the commodore. He walked in and looked around. He was very curious of what might be going on and looked for who he believed Lt T’Mor was and walked over to T’Mor and said, “I assume you are Lt T’Mor based on your service records, I am Lt Cmdr Donoghuei, the new XO for the Ark Angle. What might be going on here? I believe it would be related to your previous mission. I have read some about that mission and what was accomplished with the nanites. I would love a more in-depth explination at some point. I know you were directly involved with the previous chief engineer so I am hoping you have more data than what was in the report which I was able to review.” He then waited for T’Mor to response, as well as putting his hand out for a hand shake.
