Kaden heard the response and knew he what this was about. He was in his quarters getting his stuff ready to head out. He then tapped his comm badge and responded, =/\=Give me a few minutes to get finished up with packing and then I will head to you. Thank you.=/\= He then went to finish putting his bags together and set it on the floor. He then left his quarters and made his way up to the Captain’s Ready room. After a few minutes, he arrived. Before he walked in, he straightened his uniform and then headed in. He looked over and saw Commodore Andone sitting at his place in the ready room. He then said, “Kaden reporting as requested. Is it alright if I take a seat? ” He then waited to begin this discussion.

Drudoc turned as Buchanan came in, “..Please do Lieutenant. How is your packing going?” She inquired taking her own seat then at the table opposite him.

Ciaran went ahead and took a seat and said to Drudoc, “Thank you Commodore. Packing is going well. I do not ever keep much stuff so its never a large quantity but I never look forward to leaving. I rather enjoyed it here. Thank you for having me and it has been nice working with yourself and the rest of the crew. Is there anything specific you need from me, other than finishing up the report of the last mission, before heading out?” Ciaran knew this was going to be easy as he was not leaving on bad terms. He had hoped to see folks from this ship in the future. He waited for Drudoc to respond.

”..Good to hear, having built up a....home…aboard the Ark Angel in the past almost 10 years now moving on to another ship or given my rank outpost or starbase even is not something I would endeavor to undergo..” She said with a chuckle. “..Nor when I brought up the topic to my daughter Tel’eck before our last mission did she seem keen on it herself if it happened..” she said with a reflection in her eyes of my emotions.

”..As for your final report just have it filed to Admiral Wessley at Starbase 243 three days from now and you would be fine. As for anything else? There is only one final thing..” she said standing and gesturing for the man to do likewise. Once done she came around the briefing table with a box in her hand, “..your service to this ship and Starfleet the past almost year now has been quite noteworthy. You’ve kept your head in many stressful situations, and taken the lead on many more during our past missions. I know a ship the size of the Mythology class requires a lot of attention at times and your duties as chief engineer managing a staff so large at a rank of only a junior lieutenant shows your capabilities were far higher then your rank gave.” She said, “..It is with this matter that I have approved you a full promotion to the rank of Lieutenant effectively immediately for where ever you are assigned next. I’ve also had you flagged for supplementary Command officer training should you wish to pursue it in the future.” She said pinning the full Lieutenant rank pip onto his collar.

Then retrieving another box she spoke again, “..Lastly, Starfleet has tasked me with awarding you the Montgomery Scott Engineering Miracle Worker medal, as well as the First Contact Heroism Citation 2nd class medal. for your quick thinking of stabilizing the situation with the nanites in the alien lab. I am told your quick action saved upwards of nearly 92 million individual nanites left in that last tube. While further study and contact will be forthcoming by others, this would not have been possible without your actions..” She said pinning both to his left should band and giving him both display boxes.

Stepping back she shook his hand again, “..Congratulations Lieutenant Buchanan, if in the future you need any recommendations or references from me by other commanding officers, do feel free to reach out..” She said.
