Kaden knew he had not said anything about doing the holodeck thing but knew he had thought about it too so he felt good he knew it was what others were thinking about. He nodded at Lieutenant Stacey and said, “I can go with you if we get a green light on the holodeck portion. I am very curious of this works from an engineering stand point and I want to be able to do the needed technical scans during the process.” He then waited to hear from the captain along with the others in the room

Looking at it it could be a viable risk, depending on what they used/fed the metal and what form the containment took.

Kaden looked at Lieutenant Stacey and noticed he was not going to say anything. He knew the idea of having security outside the holodeck would be ideal, just in case it became dangerous. He looked at Lt Anders and said, “I agree with you having some security officers outside the holodeck but we might need some inside with us to. To help container before the ability for the creature/tech to escape the holodeck, if it figures out how to do that.” He waited to see what the lieutenant responded with

=/\= Security guards are fine, my concern is if say the forcefield on the sample fails in the holodeck or some other matter exposes their ability to escape their size means no security guard would stop them from escaping into the holo systems and possibly out into the ship. =/\= She stated =/\= While it may be distasteful to some, could we use something slightly bigger but still easily containable? Say a mouse or the like? I recall there is a mouse near the end of its natural life in the children’s school that was removed from the normal cage area so the children there would not yet see its suffering from its sickness and old age. Could this provide us better sample data? =/\= She asked.

T’Mor considered the options, “That is a reasonable concern. Also, the holodeck systems are connected to many others onboard. We have no idea how it would react with our mechanical or computer systems.”

She took a calming breath. She did not like her conclusion, but it was the logical one. She tried to deliver her conclusion in the most cold, stoic way she could,

“It is an unnecessary risk to us all. Compared to certainly ending the life of only one living sample, the logical choice is obvious.”
