“Incoming Transport… Energize,” the Transporter Technician spoke, pushing the requisite buttons to initialize the transporter sequence. There was a buzz and a whirr, and five patterns materialized. Three were people, two were large crates.

Out beyond the hull of the Ark Angel, the Galdori freighter the passengers were beamed from sent a message of farewell and warped away.

Within, three individuals stepped off the pad. A parent and their two adopted children. Tak already wore their Science officer uniform. After two years of living on a a Federation vessel, Paku and Kota no longer wore robes. They both wore dark trousers made of a soft material. Kota’s top was a green shirt with Toa Lewa in an action pose, and Paku proudly sported a blue shirt with Rainbow Dash and the quote “20% Cooler” on it.

“It doesn’t look very different from the Memorial,” Kota commented, looking around.

“I assure you it is a different ship,” Tak replied, checking the crates to make sure they transported in safely. They looked over to the Transporter Technician. “Thank you for the smooth ride. Would it be possible to transport this one directly to the Science Lab?” They gestured to the larger of the two objects. “I contacted ahead to ensure there was a place for it.”

“This one…” they grunted, grabbing the crate and tugging it off the transporter pad. “Is going to our new quarters.”

A small girl was passing by when the sound of the transporter caught her attention. she poked her head into the room. Her eyes went wide at the sight of New people. Her bright blue eyes went wide with excitement. ” Cool New people” She squealed excitedly. She darted into the room.

The girl looked to be about five years of age. She had pail blond hair bright blue eyes and pail skin. She looked mostly human aside from her wings witch resembled a snow owl pure white with black spots. She flapped her wings excitedly jumping and hovering in the air a few seconds. ” Hi, I’m Cerenity it’s so nice to meet you. My mommy is a security officer” She said in a rush.

Paku yelped in surprise and hid behind Tak, intimidated by the newcomer. His parent looked at the human (?) child with detached curiosity. “That’s nice. We have a very busy day ahead of us, so perhaps you should go find your amusement elsewhere.”

“Im sorry i did not mean to scare anyone,” She said dropping to the ground and filing her wings tightly against her back. ” I know the ship relly well if you want i can help you find wherever it is you are going” She offered sweetly.

All three individuals had a similar appearance, although different in height. Tak was the tallest, at 4‘6”. Kota, their daughter, was 3‘6’, and Paku, the youngest, was 3’. All three were brown with white bellies and chins. Paku had a darker ring of fur around his left eye, and Kota’s fur was less saturated than that of the other two.

Kota and Paku both picked up backpack-like satchels from the floor near their feet, then concentrated on keeping up with Tak as the adult left the Transporter room. Kota gave Serenity a slight wave, but said nothing as she followed her parent.
