Em had finished with the medical people and headed towards her home away from home. She had heard about the Chief Engineer and wondered just how they would get along, she had her own way of doing things and issues with authority, she had been able to keep things under control. This was going to be interesting.

Em walked around main engineering for a couple of minutes before heading to the CE’s office. She stopped in front of the door and rang the chime, she was looking at engineering though the symbiote’s eyes at the moment and was finding it very interesting about what he knew beyond the technical manuals. She truly hoped that the darker side of her symbiote behaved, she wasn’t sure what would happen if that part of her came out. Em brought her thinking back to the present and waited to be admitted to the CE’s office

Kaden heard the chime go off and he knew who is was going to be. He had read a new engineering officer was coming to the Ark Angel. He then said, “Please enter.” He waited to see the young ensign as she walked into his office.

Emily stepped in and handed the PaDD in her hand to the Lt “Ensign Emily Bradford reporting for duty sir.” She said as she waited for him to look over the data, she hoped he would be fairly easy to deal with, she didn’t want to have any trouble on her first assignment after her time off.

Kaden looked up and saw a young lady stepping into his office. He then responded, “Welcome Ensign. Welcome to the Ark Angel. I hope you are ready to work. Have you spoken with Medical and Psychology already?” He smiled and waited for the ensign’s response.

“Always ready to get my hands dirty.” She said “Medical yes, Psychology not yet. The counselor was not available, Once I finish speaking with you, I will head back over there to speak with them.” She said

Kaden was happy to see the Ensign knew to get some things done before starting for duty. They must have been paying attention at the academy. Kaden laughed inside. He then responded to the ensign, “When you get your Psychology check-in completed, please report back here. I will have some things to look into for you. Do you have any questions for me right now?” He smiled at the ensign and waited for a response.
