As the supplies beamed in, Buckingham checked them over. Satisfied with them he administered the concoction of drugs, trying to be as respectful as possible. He didn’t want this to drag on. He’d never put an animal to sleep before, an he sincerely hoped he wouldn’t have to do so again. This was the less than glamorous side of being a Doctor (if there even was a glamorous side to begin with.).

After a few moments, Gavin opened his medical tricorder and began a scan of the bull’s respiratory system. He watched as it began to slow from 18 bpm to 10, to 5, to 1, then nothing. The Chief Medical Officer moved his tricorder to read the bull’s cardiovascular and found it too had ceased, along with any brain waves. The animal was now considered deceased.

=^= Proceed with transport, Ensign, =^= Doctor Stacey said. Gavin placed his tricorder back into his holster and turned to the CE. “T’Mor would probably want to take a look at this as well”.

“Thank you, Sir” Buckingham said to the CMO for the help that he had provided.

Once the bull was declared deceased, the younger of the two women went over to a paper backed book and opened it flipping a few pages to cross something out then make some notations. As if to explain the older of the women said, “..We keep precise track of the lineage of our cattle and their births and such. Since we do not often get fresh heads in fro genetic diversity on a regular schedule of imports we got to be careful to avoid inbreeding.” She explained.

As this happened the transport sound was heard again and a second later a metal shard filled with bits of stomach bile, acid, and stomach lining and muscle tissue arrived on a table next to the CMO.

With the knowledge that Kaden had, he wanted to see if anything else would show the same signs, not in the cave. He went ahead and hit his comm badge and said, =/\=Lt Buchana to engineering, can you all do a scan of the materials I discovered from the ship and see if anything else on the planet comes up? I know they are scanning in the caves but maybe the ship could have a higher result due to being further away, even if the materials were discovered somewhere else on the planet. Buchanan out.=/\= He waited to see what might came of his request. He was hoping maybe there was a location where this started or has these same materials in order to discover more things of what is currently going on.

Gavin moved off to the side to allow Buchanan room to look over the metal, as well as to let the locals take the bull for eventual consumption. The CMO waited for further direction from either the Ark Angel or the XO on the ground.

Since Dr Stacey took a step back, Kaden took a step forward and looked over the metal. It was something he did not recognize. He would want to take it up to engineering at some point and do a full investigation on the metal. He was very curious about it. He was guessing the local might not let it off the planet but it might be worth it once this was all completed. He was hoping the second away team was able to find and subdue the enemies in order to assure the locals they were safe.

Kane had continued to stand watch and keep guard. When the plan of uthinizing the bull came up he had just nodded and trusted to let the medical professionals do their thing, keeping his back to the others his eyes cast out to make sure there were no encroaching targets as this was way beyond his perview. When the sounds of a teleporter filled the small area he turned around and took a stance with the phase rifle at the ready, though he didn’t point it at anybody he had it in their direction. When his eyes turned and located the vicera and intestine and guts he straightened up once it was confirmed that nothing or no one else had joined them. He looked a little sick but it also was a somewhat familiar sight so he mostly let his breath out after what may have been a single retch as he wasn’t really all that prepared to suddenly have guts of any kind out on the table. He tapped his combadge. =^=Kane to Captain Andone=^= He gave the customary pause waiting for the Captain to answer the comm call.

=^=I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the weird signal that we found is the metal shard that was in the bull… seems like it may have potentially teleported itself out of the creature after it was deceased. I’m not sure if it’s innert at the moment but caution would dictate the answer is no.... I would like to bring it back to the Ark Angel for study, but if I remember correctly the metal can’t be transported. Can we deploy a shuttle with a containment field set up to contain the artifact… I would recommend that no one physically touch it either until we at least know it is safe to erring on the side of we don’t know how it got into the bull… and when it teleported out… it seems to brought parts of the cows guts with it… so it may have fused with the biological material? I’m not sure, but I would like for science to see if they can investigate it further.=^=

Kaden was listening to the executive officer speak with the captain. He was extremely curious about doing some major investigation once its on the ship. He knew it could be potentially dangerous and hopefully it did not teleport itself somewhere else once they tried to move it.
