=/\=We’ve got them Ark Angel,=/\= Raith said looking over the readings, =/\=They seem to be lining up with the tracks of the wolves, so i’d definitely say there’s a connection. We’ll keep you updated on our progress. Raith out.=/\= Raith turned to T’Mor and said, “You think you’ll be able to use that to detect the wolves? Maybe even see if they’re waiting for us ahead?”

-Ensign Raith, Security.

T’Mor nodded, adjusting her tricorder accordingly to detect the material. Setting the device to maximum range, she thoroughly scanned in inside of the cave and watched the new information come in.

Information came in, the scans showed the wolves had come through here likely in the past few hours since their attack earlier at the farm. Presumably then that meant they were somewhere deeper in the cave system. Unfortunately due to the thickness of the rock around and below them their effective measurable scan radius was only about 40-50ft or so around them give or take. But for the moment within that radius ahead and leading deeper there was no current signs of the wolves.

She also took a quick glance at the moss, trying to recall if she had seen the species before.

Looking at the moss T’Mor could easily recognize these were a hybrid version of a native moss to the planet mixed with imported cave dwelling mosses from Earth. The hybridization between them had given the faint hue and hearty nature of the two that they lacked previously.

Luna listened quietly as the team worked. I want the scientist and engineers to stay close together and in the middle as we continue. That way those of us in security can better protect you.” Luna said. She waited for her team to respond.

Raith gave Luna a nod and pulled back to let her take point. He’ll take up the rear in case anything tried to surprise them, which seemed the wolves’ style. “Lieutenant,” Raith said to T’Mor, “If you could hang back with me. I want to keep an eye on those readings you’re getting.”

Ensign Raith, Security.

It seems once they were arranged the group was as ready as they could be to go deeper and do more wolf hunting.....

T’Mor pulled back with Raith, so the tricorder readings were within his view. She’d much rather they be here studying the moss and not looking for cybernetically enhanced wolves. Regrettably, that was not the task at hand.

“Our readings are limited, we can only scan approximately 15.24 meters ahead. I am unable to confirm any current wolf activity. However, evidence suggests they have been here recently.” she said out loud, so Ensign Luna was informed as well. Then T’Mor paused, taking some noticeably deeper breaths than usual. Hands slightly shaking, she reviewed the information one more time.

“We either need better equipment, or to go in manually.”

Raith saw the trembling in T’Mor’s hands and heard her deep calming breaths. Was she scared? Perhaps apprehensive would be more appropriate. Still, for a Vulcan, that was concerning. “Pthak nam-tor wuh pak t’ ozhika, wuh toripik pak t’ olozhikaik nel-dath <Fear is the loss of logic, the voluntary loss of logical patterns.>” Raith whispered encouragingly to her, hoping to help her along. “Don’t worry about getting to far into the thick of it. We’ll have Ark Angel beam us all out if things get too hairy. I don’t expect it to however.” The last part may not have been entirely truthful, but Raith was sure they could handle what the wolves threw at them.
