The door to the compartment opens and a human male hurries a bit onto the deck. He comes to beside the pair and stopped and stood tall. Dressed in the standard uniform in the normal command color of red he pulls on his uniform adjusting it slightly. Taking a breath he looked, up, then up some more, and then up even more. “Well well. Apologies for being late.” He turned to the Vulcan “Thank you, I’ll take it from here.” He then turned back to Sivas. “Welcome to the Ark Angel, I normally am early, however something had came up that needed my immediate attention. I am Solomon Kane, the First Officer of the Ark Angel. A pleasure.” He offered up his hand to the man angling it upwards so that it would be easier to shake. The other hand he put up and rubbed through his short black hair. Though it contrasted with his pale white skin.

Jute stopped in his track. “No need to apologize commander. I did not expect senior officers to meet me in the shuttle bay.”

He takes the hand offered, his hands dwarfing the Vulcans, “Ensign Sivas Jute a pleasure to meet you sir.” His voice much higher pitched than would be expected of a Andoran pushing 6‘6 and built like a prefab building.

“I hope the situation was rectified and my arriving here hasn’t left you with a mess to clear up.”

Kane gave a warm smile. “No no the situation was sudden and completely unrelated. I usually like to greet new crew as they arrive. I care about every crew member on this ship, and wish the best for them and their careers. Arriving crewmen are no exception to this. I like to know whos on this ship inside and out especially since we will be working together. Maybe not close or it may not seem like it at all but… still we all work together one way or another. I have to trust every crewman just as I hope everyone tusts me. Thats what this is about buiding rapport.” He explained looking up a little intimidated though he did well to hide it underneath a well trained face.

Sivas raises an eyebrow. “That is most considerate of you Commander. I am sure the crew appreciate your rapport.” The words feel strange in his mouth, rapport was not something Sivas generally experienced being a former criminal, being trusted was not something he was afforded.

“I hope to earn the trust of the command crew, enlisted crew and civilians on ship, sir.”
