Given the cramped conditions on the shuttle walking the halls of a starship was borderline paradise; the high ceilings, the wide corridors and most importantly these things meant he wasn’t bumping, crashing or knocking people out of the way. A good start.

He stopped at a map for a moment crouching slightly. Finger tracing the way being indicated with small yellow arrows. The LCARS terminal blinked helpfully.

After one wrong turn and almost ending up in engineering. He steps on to the bridge nodding at some of the bridge crew. The NE in the centre nods and stands.

“Ensign Jute, reporting as requested sir.” Jute’s voice high pitched yet seasoned with confidence.

“Welcome aboard Ensign. The Commodore is waiting for you.” Replies the NE Lt.

Jute is across the bridge in a matter of moments his massive gait adding to his speed. He rings the bed. His antennae twitch as he waits.

Ensign Sivas was at the door for almost a minute after he rung the chime, when NE Lee behind him on the bridge spoke up, “..If you’re looking for the Commodore she’s likely in her quarters at this hour. Or perhaps the classrooms with the younger teenagers. I guess folks here at Starbase 243 keep forgetting to tell you newer folks the Commodore doesn’t spend a lot of her limited free time in the ready room, sorry about that.” He said.

Sivas turns around. “They did not tell me this, no.” He inclines his head, “apologies I would not wish to impinge on the Commodore’s free time. I shall return when she is on the bridge. Thank you.” The hulking mass of Jute nods at the bridge crew and leaves as quickly as he came.

Just before Sivas could fully leave NE Lee spoke again, “..I mean you can do that if you want. But you could also just comm her she’s quite welcoming and friendly overall. But it is up to you..” He said.

“Of course.” Sivas says, “Thank you kindly.” He says as he walks off the bridge.
Once on the corridor he taps his comm badge.
