Kane took the lift down to deck 14 where he entered the security office and headded to the back of the room. He stepped to the console set in the wall and started to imput his access code into it to unlock and open the door.

When the door opened Kane went into the Armory and picked up a PADD he grabs a few phaser rifles and moves to a table. One by one he inspects the equipment , checking for damage, depleted power cells, or any other defects that prevent nominal opperation. He then checks for the rifles opperating efficency. Once all of his checks pan out and looks like the rifle is good he looks at the serial number and takes the pad and types it into a sign out document. He repeata the proccess until 7 rifles have been inspected and all their numbers added to the list.

Kyle followed the XO into the office and activated his own weapons drawer, topped off by a Klingon bat’leth gifted to him by outgoing XO of the ArkAngel, Lieutenant Commander Sifeda Itri. “Never know when you need to go hand to hand, eh Commander?”

Kane looks up from the inspection of the third rifle and chuckles. “No, never; thats why I carry a bootknife. A bit primative but it works.” He said and gave a grin. He then looked down and continued the inspections.

” Really a bootknife. You think that or a bat’leth will protect you from them” Luna said her fowl mood evident. She glared at the pear.

Kane set the rifle he had been inspecting down and turned to face Luna. “You can knock off the pessimistic attitude or I will call into question your ability to lead this mission. A small knife may not do much, but it offers an element of supprise, and that supprise just may cause enough of a distracion. And that may just save a life; yours, or another crewmans. And that is the objective. Strive for your objective, but first thing first make sure everyone comes back alive.” He said his tone hitting almost a growling low.

Raith had gathered the other Security officers and walked into the armory to find Luna had already made her way there, and already spreading a mood. Raith simply adjusted his shirt and waved the other Ensigns in. As they began to grab their gear and weapons, Raith turned to Luna and said, “You want to brief them Ensign, or shall I? I’ve already given them a basic explanation of our little wolf hunt, but wanted to leave any further debriefing to the team leader.” As he finished, he slotted an energy pack into one of the rifles and slung it over his shoulder. He had also grabbed two hand phasers and a Kabaar knife. The wolves had been pretty hearty when they caught him unawares, but he’d be expecting them now, and he’d be far from easy prey.

Kane then made sure each person signed out the equipment they took and then signed out his own equipment taking a rifle and one hand phaser himself. He then when making sure everything was done properly waited by the door to seal the armory again once everyone else had left.
