As the race concluded and the results came up Kane set the PADD aside and clapped for the kids.

”..Come on lets head down and see how they did internally for their assignment..” Drudoc said.

Adter a few minutes of clapping Kane nodded and gave a warm smile. “After you.” He said somewhat warmly.

Drudoc nodded, the pair soon coming to the children and teens. “..So what did you all think?” Drudoc asked to the children first. The children one by one went through on their thoughts of the race, as well as during this Drudoc recorded their responses probably for their assignment. After a round of this she turned to the three teens and did the same. Once they were all completed she turned to her new XO. “..So Commander any words or questions for our youngest crew?” she inquired.

Kane looked thoughtful for a moment then he noded. “It was a good show, and a fine race. All in all we all have to work together if we want to succeed. I guess for me, I would ask that you spend a bit of time reflecting on the exercise itself and the lesson it holds. Each person needs to do their part, but can also within their part help cover for the weakness of another. A team is only as strong as it’s weakest link. When the weakest link is broken, so to is the chain. So support one another. I would ask that if you would take a bit of time to think of something that could have gone better, and ways that while working together would help to make that thing better. None of us are perfect, and there is little use in blaming someone for a perceived fault, cause we will all think of different things that were wrong. I am excited to get to know you all in due time.” Kane said warmly, and offered them all an even warmer smile.

”..Alright then kids, if there is nothing else.” Drudoc said tapping a PADD and handing it to one of the younger girls, “..Make sure your teacher’s get this PADD and you can head out to relax and play.” She stated, the kids and teens minus Tel’eck whooped then ran off calling for the exit arch.

Kane waved off the kids as they ran off.

”..So I guess you got to go chat up your new XO huh Mom?” Tel’eck asked.

Drudoc lookd to Kane, “..Depends on the Commander, do you have any questions or concerns we have not covered that we should in my ready room?” She inquired.

Kane looked thoughtful for a long minute. “I do not believe so no ma’am. I know I have much to learn and I am sure that much of that is best learned on the job.” He turned to look at Tel’eck. “Besides, even if it was so, I do not believe that it would have been of a sensitive nature and wouldn’t mind if you did tag along.” He said giving a somewhat neutral but tense smile. The serious looking man looked like he didn’t really have a relaxed expression to him, so most every face that portrayed some form of emotion always looked like he was a bit tense, or had gas… it was hard to tell.
