Looking at it Thomas could be pretty confident that long as the surgery went well removal of the shard would not harm the bull in a life threatening way. He could also provide some faster recovery methods or medications provided the colonists approved.

“Ah I see. Pardon my confusion” Thomas said before taking another look at the readings on his Tricorder.

“I can see no complications or adverse affects if the object was removed. It should be perfectly fine.” He said, trying to sound reassuring. “If you require any medicament to help the healing and recovery post-operation, I’d be more than happy to provide some.”

The woman nodded, “..Your offer is appreciated. Let me call for my assistant and we can get the good guy here prepped for the operation.” She said. Calling to holler up to a barn nearby for someone named Marshell. A spry darker skinned woman came out after a moment wiping something on her pants. After explaining the situation the woman nodded and said she would get the operating theater ready in barn 3. Turning back to Thomas she said. “..Well then, let’s head up to barn 3, I’ll take the lead of the bull here..” She said leading the bull to another pen line which would lead it up the hill to a smaller barn off to the side. After a few stern tugs the bull reluctantly followed.

“Very well, lead the way…” Buckingham said. “I’ll just contact my superior officer and keep him apprised.” He let the ladies set off before tapping the comm-badge on his chest.
