Myrok entered engineering casually he looked at both the Lt’s and merely with hands clasped behind his back stated” Hello gentlemen I do have cartography in the morning as well as now....I would like to be informed.”

Chris looked up and off to the side past Tenzing over his shoulder seeing the voice that had just presented itself. “Oh, Ensign Myrok? Did Science currently have use of the deflector array? Think we could use it for a few hours? Have a project for the Captain gathering information in regards to the FTL Test Flight this species will be conducting. Trying to see if we can manage to get into the networks to see if we can get some schematics.”

While he waited for the Ensign’s reply while looking at him, his fingers tapped away proficiently at his LCARS terminal to bring up the requested logs from the database relay from the probes in orbit. His search range was for the last 3-6 months prior to their arrival into the system with the same keywords as mentioned to the computer previously.

Myrok nodded towards the Lt.” Of course Lt. please use it at will.”

“Thanks Myrok, though unfortunately it seems that we’re still out of range, looks like I’ll have to stick with the logs..” With somewhat of a disappointed look he brought up the log search on his terminal. “Which form of FTL do you think they’re gonna be using Lieutenant Trainor? I’m thinking they’ll probably use the short jump form! It’s got it’s uses, but the only downside to it would be that it’s limited based on your power and isn’t good for long distance travel, but for a first step it would be pretty awesome!

Trainor shook his head. “I think the short jump would be our best option at the moment.” The OPS Chief said. “But that all depends on the findings from our research.” Tenzing added. The Lieutenant turned to the Ensign and burrowed his brows. He didn’t remember science wanting to use the deflector today, but it could have been an oversight on his part.

The logs finally came up they were short and to the point outlining research in a short range fusion powered FTL system, and another which was more exotic to these human like aliens using matter/antimatter drive. Research was fairly neck-neck in the details so it was just a matter of time before one group succeeded over the other.
