With the order given the Ark Angel soon detached from Starbase 243 and went easily to warp on their way into the heart of the Federation away from their border assignment for so long. At their current speed of warp 2 they would get there in about 2 weeks.....

About an hour or so after the Ark Angel had gone to warp Commodore Andone came back onto the bridge from her ready room. So far nothing of any notice had come up in their trip. Coming up to the XO’s chair she inquired. “..Anything to note yet for our trip?” She asked.

“Nothing yet. However do you think we should jump to warp 4? I am in no hurry to get there, but it seems the quicker we can get there and accomplish the task the quicker we can likely move on to something else.”

”..I was actually thinking warp 5, while we have no set timeline on arrival or delivery of the mail canisters, no sense delaying things more then needed.” She said to Itri. Turning to the helm NE on the side of the bridge, “..Helm, increase speed to warp 5.” She said.

Sifeda nodded, “I agree.”

”..Aya ma’am, new ETA is about 8 days now..” He said as the ship slowly accelerated to warp 5.

”..Very good..” Drudoc answered taking back her center chair. Turning to Intri, “..Exec, if you wish to go off duty early you can feel free to do so. I will handle things from now until Beta shift at 1200 hours..” She said, given it was now 0700 hours and as Intri would recall Drudoc had split the duty shifts from the more common 3 shifts of 8 hours instead she did four shifts being 6 hours in a day. Allowing more crew to get experience and have more free time to themselves.
