When Kaden entered he would find the Commodore with some healing wraps around her jaw and face-cheeks. Due to her recent surgery and injuries from the exploding console near her in their last mission a few days prior. She was currently reviewing it seems some various PADD work in some form. Looking up as he entered she set down the PADD in her hand. “..Ah Ensign Buchanan thank you for coming quickly as ordered.” She said her speech only slightly muffled due to the restriction of movement to her jaw for healing. Turning in her chair she pointed to the replicator in the corner. “..The replicator’s local computer processor seems out of alignment or corrupt. Due to my injuries I have requested drinks with a straw however, they are not formulating at my request.” She said indicating several cups on her desk nearby. “..Please take a look if you please?” she asked.

Kaden looked at the Commodore and responded, “I am glad to see you are doing better after your surgery. I was unsure of how it was going to turn out. That was a close call. I will look at your replicator right away. We do not want you to not be able to drink due to not having a straw.” Kaden then walked over to the replicated and opened the panel. He saw the processor was corrupt and grabbed a new one out of his repair kit and grabbed his tool and started to replace it. After a few minutes, he completed the job and then said to the computer, “One straw please.” A straw appeared and he walked back over to the Commodore and said, “Looks like the replicator is fixed and here is your straw.” He handed the Commodore the straw. He then said, “Looks like you are good to go with the replicator. Is there anything else which I can assist you with? ” He then waited for a response from the Commodore.

OOC: Well I had a bit more planned then you assuming the problem lol, so i’ll work with this.....

Just as Buchannan finished presenting the drink and straw to the Commodore and stepped back she had no sooner begun to reach for it the drink container the straw had been put in the straw suddenly lost cohesion it seems and became a gooey mess into the container. “..Hmm, it would appear Ensign that your efforts were not the correct one? Perhaps make a more careful check with diagnostics then just assume the likely problem I thought it might be?” She said.

Kaden went ahead and re-ran the diagnostic to see what might actually be wrong because the fix didn’t get what he needed. He then waited for his diagnostic to be completed to see what was causing the issue.
