After Azon left sickbay she made her way to the counselor. The psychological evaluation was never as easy as it should be. She was almost 300 years old and the things she had seen and experienced weren’t always a breath of fresh air.

She stood outside the counselors office and took a deep breath, and waited for the doctor to answer.

Hearing the chime, Mar called out without looking up. “Come in…”

As the person entered, they would see Mar, head down over a plant near the window, her back to the door. “Come on in and have a seat.” She gave the woman time to adjust to the surroundings. It wasn’t like any office most had seen. It was set up like living quarters. There were bookshelves of various curiosities around the room as well as two small seating areas. A couch faced two chairs across a coffee table with a plant and half burned candle. The other cluster, where the dining table would have been, was a set of four comfortable chairs around a low round table with several tablets on it. The serving area had a pitcher of water with several glasses and a small fridge whose glass door showed several colorful drinks, presumably fruit based, as well as a green tea.

The desk, normally set with a chair and monitor, was pushed against the wall so the monitor, currently turned off, was facing the room and there was no chair. It sat, purely as a functioning recording station on the side of the room.
