With the decompression cycle complete the fire on all three decks in that section were put out and the shield generators were safe. Shields were now holding at 58% capacity and they could now focus on iniating the subspace pulses to hopefully get everything back in temporal sync.

“Looks like the party’s over for now sir,” Kyle informed Adone, “Standing by to initiate subspace pulses.”

Sifeda approached the engineering console then said, “Decompression on the decks is complete. It looks like our shields are holding at 58%. So I am guessing our shield generators were not badly damaged. Would be great if we can get them to 60%, 70 would be better.” She studied the console for a moment then said, “For the sake of time, let us commence with the subspace pulses so we can jump back in and assist the Volgograd and the Forseth ship before they end up in a worse situation than we were in.”

Demil nodded from the console he had been sat at, configuring the LCARS interface to display data about the pulses and any reactions to them. “Ready to monitor, Ma’am,” he stated, his voice somewhat thinner and raspier than typical but still full of his characteristic drive. Then he slightly tilted his head to watch Tactical until the pulses were initiated.

With the pulses sent out they were sending a pulse once every 10 seconds, all through this time of cycling the Volgograd was on the ropes still trying to evade the massive two headed snake creature. Several more times the ship took damage bashing down their shields to critical levels and impacting more physical damage to the ship.

Finally after nearly 50 some rotations it seems they found the right frequency! The effects were quite immediate. The snake creature seemed to shudder as its connection to its subspace temporal connection was severed. It seems based on the readings they got this connection was also a key in its ability to remain in a physical sense. In this case once the pulse had locked on and fully severed its connection the creature phased out of existence in a visual sense! Subspace sensors in this case showed it had burrowed then suddenly back into subspace and out of any danger to the ship or system it had been tied too.
