The NE nodded rounding a bend in the deck corridor, “..Hard to say, a few minutes at best..” he said as the ship suddenly lurched hard as if grabbed by some powerful force, making everyone stumble about before recovering. “..and the constant further jostling sure does not help matters..” he said.

The heat nearby soon picked up to uncomfortable levels, around the bend already the plasma fire had spread from the internal walls out into the main corridor, bits of paneling and emitters which would have been used for fire control and forcefields were hanging uselessly or on fire themselves. Thankfully the emergency supply locker nearby was untouched. Opening it the NE handed the CMO a plamsa fire control extingusher. “..Get hosing sir, I’m going to try to unlock the internal wall panels so we can get inside then for the source..” he said.

Gavin took note of the damage and grabbed the extinguisher from the NLtg. The CMO could feel the heat against his skin, but despite the uncomfortableness, there weren’t any burns. “If we can’t contain this fire in under 3 minutes, we’ll need to evacuate the Sickbay!” Doctor Stacey called out.

The Doctor looked down at the plasma fire control extinguisher to find the lever, unlatched the safety clip, then began spraying at the base of the fire while walking slowly towards the flames. Hopefully, his method would save some foam in case the fire grew since they were the last defense before Sickbay.

Zubreana rounded the corner as the doctor spoke “what can I do to help?” She asked. The heat from the fire crawled across her face. She covered her face with her arm as she waited

Doctor Stacey remained quiet for a moment as he focused on the fire, unaware that he had been breathing in the fumes. Gavin’s eyes followed the foam as the stream diminished with the canister emptied moments later. “We’re in over our heads here, Lieutenant!” The CMO called out over his shoulder as he frantically looked for another extinguisher. “From the looks of it, this fire is going to grow larger before we can get it under control. When that happens, it could affect the power supply to the Sickbay down the hall.”

The Doctor’s eyes widened when he saw a nearby Crewman keel over. “Azon, drag him to Sickbay and tell my doctors to begin transferring the patients to our other Sickbay in the Engineering Hull.” Turning away, Gavin picked up the newly dropped extinguisher and returned back to spraying the plasma fire while he pressed his comm badge.

=^=Bridge, this fire is too close for comfort…=^= Gavin called out, quickly ducking from an encroaching flame. =^= We’re transferring our patients from the Sickbay down the corridor, to the one in the Engineering section, CMO out =^=. Doctor Stacey closed out the comm call and returned his focus back to the fire.

Azon nodded as she ran over to the crewman and lifted him up. “Don’t stay long or you will be next.” She said as she disappeared into sickbay.

As Stacey continued fighting the fire parts of it came under control, but others were spreading. From just behind him NE Richards called out tossing a huge section of the wall plating aside. “..Argh! I’m in! I can see the source but its 80ft further down the corridor! Its being fed I think from the external thruster module on the hull into the primary and secondary plasma junctions. Its also already bleeding down and up to the next decks, damnit!” He said grabbing another of the extinguishers and trying to fight the fire. “..Sir I think we have to brace for the worse here, no way we’re stopping this without a full vacuuming of decks 11, 12 and 13 in these sections to space there’s no other option to avoid it..” he said as another shudder went through the ship and a jolting spark of energy caused the flames to seem grow heavier

As the flames grew again, several force field emitters in the floor burst in a shower of sparks. A piece of the flooring - thankfully one nobody was standing on - slowly warped and broke off, falling to the floor of the deck 13 lab. Demil stared up through the newly-created opening, extinguisher in hand. “I’ve evacuated this section of the deck - I’m the only one here. There’s still a few force fields holding to prevent the fire from spreading, but I doubt they’ll last long,” he reported, spraying what fire he could. “Orders, sir, ma’am?” He asked the two department heads right above his head.
