Just as the orders went through and folks moved into action, the double headed snake beast seemed to be getting irritated with ‘something’ aka the Ark Angel that it could not perceive getting in its way to find its prey the Volograd near the cometary debris. As a result both heads lashed out angirly and snapped down hard on the ship’s shields This caused the whole ship to shutter briefly and shields drop from their current 72% to 59%, the sudden impact also caused several systems to short out the biggest right away being that the Captain’s chair that Drudoc sat in had their arm consoles explode into her face. This caused the Romulan CO to slump half out of the chair from the impact of her head to the side of the chair from a deep head injury seeping green blood as well as a big of the console’s covering lodged in her lower chin/mouth by a good inch. She would need immediate carry to sickbay for treatment no doubt.

Just as this all happened the helm NE spoke, “..Urgh, the creature has released us, impulse engines coming back online ma’am, though we’ve lost some motive power..” He commented. It seems the XO was now in the center seat all of a sudden.

Sifeda knew they couldn’t just leave the Volograd and the Forseth ship on their own but she knew they had to put some distance between the Ark Angel and creature until they could at least repair some of their damaged systems. “We need to use evasive maneuvers to get of the line of fire this creature has us in. Also hail the Volograd and the Forseth ship.” She told the NE. After giving these orders she activated the comm and said, =^= Buchanan, ensure repairs to the ship continue! I know you have a lot right now, but we need to get everything back online as soon as possible. “=^= She did not inform his of the Commodore’s condition because she needed him to focus on his tasks.

Ensign Buchanan acknowledged the request from the XO but did not feel a response was needed. He went ahead and started working on the console he was still sitting at and begin to get an inventory of the what is broken and what the status of the fire suppression system was on Deck 12. He was hoping the computer to return some data quickly to allow the Ensign to begin making repairs as needed. Kaden was wondering what was going on up at the Bridge as he had not heard from the Chief in a while but figured she had things handled from the bridge.

Anders eyes went wide as he watched the CO slump lower in the centre chair, “=^= Anders to Sickbay, medical emergency on the Bridge! The Captain is down, I repeat the Captain is down! =^=”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

Sifeda quickly hurried to assess the Commodore, she carefully placed her hand on the her forehead, unphased by the blood that was dripping from her head. She carefully lifted her chin so she could see the extent of the injury. “The console cover is lodged significantly deep her chin.” She knew the Commodore could not stay in the chair, in that position. “We need to remove her from this chair and lay her on her back to ensure it does not go further, until medical arrives. Be careful, keep her head steady and chin up.”

Itri, XO

NE IDMT technician Strickland and NE medical technician O’Donnell arrived on the bridge just as the bridge crew were placing the Commodore on the deck. NE Strickland stepped up to the Commodore and XO Sifeda “Sir please step aside and allow me, and NE O’Donnell do our jobs.” He requested. NE O’Donnell brought up a grav sled stretcher and set a med pack down as NE Strickland began doing both a physical assessment of the Commodore. He winced when he opened the Commodores mouth and could see the console cover edging into the upper palate of the mouth. It was a risk, but he made a snap judgement looking at the XO he inquired “Are the Transporters offline?” he prayed to God they were not.

As the NEs got to work they would recall one of the CO’s medical record notes that due to an early childhood exspure to some radiation and a chemical spill it had the effect of thinning her bloods ability to coagulate when injured to slow bleeding she would need an iso-protein injection ASAP to slow her bleeding to more normal levels. As it was already the blood in her mouth was filling her air ways and throat. They would need to act quickly to remove said materials to prevent her from choking to death or drowning from her own blood.

NE Charles by the back of the bridge spoke, “..Transporters are online yes, but with our shields up as they are site to site transport within the ship is impossible right now..” he said

“Transporters are out.” Said Sifeda to the IDMT, “I hope you have an alternative solution. We cannot drop those shields, we are too vulnerable at the moment. We must protect the ship.”

Mar stood up and moved to the XO. “Please, Ma’am. Let Medical do what they need.” She reached for the XO to help her away. It was a two fold reason, she did it. One was to be sure the XO would back away. The other was to be sure the Second in Command was all right. Her own right cheek was blossoming into a bruise where she had fallen and landed on her upraised hand. It was starting to look like a large Orion had clocked her upside the head. She felt the headache coming but fought through it. Now wasn’t the time for petty aches and pains. “Ma’am, we need to see to the rest of the ship.”

“Yes of course,” Sifeda said and moved so the medical staff could render aid to the Commodore. “Report to me when she is stable,” she told Strickland. She looked at Marlaa saw her bruise, “You were injured too,.Counselor. It looks pretty bad. Perhaps you should let them check you out too. I don’t want you passing out.”

Glancing up at Kyle, she nodded. “Let the Volograd and Forseth know we need to back off. We have to recover or there will be two ships stranded in here.” Grateful for those already heading to fight the fire, she knew Security would be on it by now. She took a moment to look over the XO to be sure she was all right.

Sifeda assured Marlaa she was fine then she said, “I need updates! Where are our shields at? Engineering, how are repairs to the EPS coming along? Have we been able to contain the plasma fires? Medical, I need a casualty report as well…” her voice trailed off as she momentarily rested her forehead in her hand. Then she said, “Let me know when you get an acknowledgement from the Volograd and Forseth ship.”

Itri, XO

=^=Bridge, this fire is too close for comfort…=^= Gavin called out, quickly ducking from an encroaching flame. =^= We’re transferring our patients from the Sickbay down the corridor, to the one in the Engineering section, CMO out =^=. Doctor Stacey closed out the comm call and returned his focus back to the fire.

Mar waved off the XO. “I’m fine. I won’t pass out and I promise to say something if it worsens.”

Glancing around, she took a deep breath and went into crisis mode. Before now, she merely been a spectator. Now she was in the middle of it. With the CO down, she was second highest in Command.

Glancing at the medics around the Captain, she got their attention. “The Captain has a blood condition. Too thin. Take care of her on the move, folks. She’s not any safer here. Med 2 is close and away from the fire. That’s where she needs to go.”

She looked to the docs then around the bridge. “No one tells her daughter. That’s an order. I’ll go find her when things settle.”

Glancing to Sifeda, she smiled and nodded. “Ok, two fronts. Gotta get that frequency to bring everyone into the right phase so we can kill that thing. And the fires and immediate repairs need to be seen to. Which do you want me to tackle for you?” She smiled gently. “You don’t have to do it all alone.”

NE IDMT Strickland reached in to the Commodores mouth and secured the console cover in place he then suctioned out the blood. He snapped “I need an iso-protein injection now.” to NE O’Donnell. O’Donnell handed the hypospray over and Strickland hit the Commodore with the injection. “Okay let’s load the Commodore on the anti grav sled. With that they moved the Commodore and resuctioned her mouth. “Gangway” Strickland stated as he and O’Donnell made their way to the turbolift with the Commodore.
