[snip]Ensign Baptiste looked at Lieutenant Stacey and asked, “Would you prefer me to work in the surgical suites, Triage, or go to the other sickbay and manage the routine and minor injuries when the Arch Angel engages in this battle sir?” He was secretly hoping to get to man the surgical suites as he was a Trauma surgeon.

“Your talents would be wasted on minor injuries, Ensign.” Gavin replied, “Though I could use you in the surgical suites if things were to get that bad.” The CMO wasn’t sure if they’d expect ‘things’ to get bad, though it’s never too early to prepare. “Until there’s a need, you’ll stay here and take charge of the Physician Assistants from Alpha and Beta shift that have just arrived.”

“Understood Sir.” Replied Ensign Baptiste. He then turned to NE Ellsworth and NE Holliday, “Okay, doubt you will believe me but the ship is preparing to engage a giant space snake that seems to be affecting space/time. The USS Volograd is currently in ‘time phase’ with the creature and is suffering heavily. To make matters worse the Forseth apparently have detected us and are sending ships our way, intentions unknown. There you got the quick and dirty of the situation. NE Ellsworth your skills and services will best be served assisting in the other sickbay and helping manage the routine and minor injuries; patch them up and send them back to duty quickly. NE Holliday you get the ‘joy’ of triage, you and your team be quick and thorough and do not hold back. If a patient is Black then make them Black, we will not have time or the resources to dither on them until we get the situation under control. Okay, gather your teams, any questions send them my way.” Just as Johnathan made that statement the ship shook. “Well appears we are engaging with the creature, to your assigned positions and good luck.” With that he made his way over to the surgical suites.

Gavin had stood back momentarily while his junior officer dished out the assignments. The CMO still wasn’t sure they’d receive anything beyond routine or mild injuries, but he could gather these response times and preparations as part of a later preparedness report for the XO. But still, without further direction or injuries reporting in, all they could do is stand by.

As the medical crews in Sickbay 1 were busy on standby the ship shuddered once or twice then a bit heavier causing several panels to flicker and a few looser held down items to spill onto the floor, several NE nurses went over to a tipped over table to clean up stuff.
Then there was another shudder, this one much closer, an emergency chime sounded in Sickbay, =/\= Alert, EPS relay 16 failure on deck 12, section 19-33, structural failure compromised. =/\= The computer said over a deck wide announcement. A moment later another shudder passed through the deck plating and suddenly the two sides of Sickbay 1’s doors opened revealing several injured NEs hobbling in with several others on their shoulders.
Hefting one female NE onto a biobed nearby a NLtjg coughed wiping his brow, “..We got a plasma fire just down the hall, fire suppression systems are offline! I need anyone not tending to these four other patients to come with me now! We need to contain the plasma fire manually before it can reach another EPS shunt and spread further!..” He said.
OOC: You guys can split up here, either tend to one of four NEs on the bio beds or go play firemen/women! Both are urgent!

Thinking quickly, Gavin turned to John. “I need you to stay here and take charge while I get things under control down the hall.” The CMO, under normal circumstances, wouldn’t run towards danger with a room full of injured crewman. However, he understood what would happen if they didn’t get that plasma fire extinguished. ” I’ll be back, Ensign.”
Ensign Baptiste flew into motion as soon as the wounded were brought in, “NE nurse O’Rourke tend to the patient on bio-bed one. NE nurse Folston tend to patient on bio-bed two.” He then moved to the patient on bio-bed one and did a quick physical scan of the patient, obvious dislocation of the left shoulder, he then took out his medical tricorder and scanned the patient, it confirmed the dislocated shoulder and a hair line fracture of the left hip. Looking up at NE nurse O’Rourke he stated simply “You and NE tech Kennedy pop this man’s shoulder back in and give him a hypo of Morphrnolog and Terakine. You sir are walking wounded but should be able to assist with the fire fighting. Once the Red alert conditions are over report back to sick bay for further treatment.” Looking at NE nurse O’Rourke “He is triaged as Green, treat him and get him back to work.”
Johnathan then turned toward bio-bed two and looked down at the young lady lying there. He again performed a quick physical survey as NE nurse Folston stated, “Respiratory is shallow, second-degree burns upper chest and lower facial; they appear to be thermal in nature.” Johnathan nodded as he completed his physical assessment. He then again ran his medical tricorder over the patient. The patient began coughing up dark, black-stained mucus “Damn, it got her airway. Okay prep her now. We need to keep her airway open.” With that Ensign Baptist began the frantic work of helping his patient.-Ensign Johnathan Baptiste, Medical

CMO“Lieutenant, how much time do we have before it reaches the next EPS?” Gavin asked as they ran town the corridor towards the plasma fire. The CMO pushed a few injured crewmen toward the direction of the Sickbay, before turning back to catch up with the nLtjg.

CMOOOC: Snipping out baptiste’s reply since that should still be in the main sickbay part of this thread line I’ll repost it there....
The NE nodded rounding a bend in the deck corridor, “..Hard to say, a few minutes at best..” he said as the ship suddenly lurched hard as if grabbed by some powerful force, making everyone stumble about before recovering. “..and the constant further jostling sure does not help matters..” he said.
The heat nearby soon picked up to uncomfortable levels, around the bend already the plasma fire had spread from the internal walls out into the main corridor, bits of paneling and emitters which would have been used for fire control and forcefields were hanging uselessly or on fire themselves. Thankfully the emergency supply locker nearby was untouched. Opening it the NE handed the CMO a plamsa fire control extingusher. “..Get hosing sir, I’m going to try to unlock the internal wall panels so we can get inside then for the source..” he said.

Gavin took note of the damage and grabbed the extinguisher from the NLtg. The CMO could feel the heat against his skin, but despite the uncomfortableness, there weren’t any burns. “If we can’t contain this fire in under 3 minutes, we’ll need to evacuate the Sickbay!” Doctor Stacey called out.
The Doctor looked down at the plasma fire control extinguisher to find the lever, unlatched the safety clip, then began spraying at the base of the fire while walking slowly towards the flames. Hopefully, his method would save some foam in case the fire grew since they were the last defense before Sickbay.

Zubreana rounded the corner as the doctor spoke “what can I do to help?” She asked. The heat from the fire crawled across her face. She covered her face with her arm as she waited
