Demil started, shocked out of his thoughts, before he recognized the XO. “Oh. Yes, ma’am. This is a replication of the forest near my home as a child.” He propped himself up slightly, swinging his arms behind and under him to support his weight. “I spent a lot of time here during high school. It’s always been sort of a space that’s safe to drop my guard some.” His body language and tone were both significantly more open and relaxed than was typical of the ensign, though it had stiffened slightly when he noticed Sifeda’s entrance.

Sifeda nodded then said, “It’s very beautiful. I hope I am not intruding. I was on my way to do my daily combat exercise. It’s kind of like my daily run. I usually use this Holosuite. I saw it was occupied and I was curious who had beat me to it.”

At about that moment a shadow was cast over them. Ensign luna had come to the holodeck with the intreatin flight and came across the program. She landed a few feet from both officers. ” I hope you don’t mind this forest is beautiful,” She said with a smile.

Ensign Luna

“Miss Luna! That is quite an impressive wingspan!” Sifeda said with a smile.
She looked at Demil and said, “So you up for some company?”

” Umm… Thank you” she said with a smile.

“I suppose so,” Demil said, sitting up fully. “I think, before today, I’m the only one in a long time who’s seen this forest. I had a tendency to slip away at night and spend hours exploring, eventually finding this little clearing. I always carried a communicator in case I got hurt, and later, when I started going when everyone else was still awake, so my family could tell me to come home, but nobody ever went with me out here. But I don’t mind someone else knowing about it, it’s worth sharing.”

” I would love to bring my Doughter here” Luna said.

“Indeed it is. So there are bugs here,” she looked at Luna briefly then back at Demil, “I thought you were allergic to them. Isn’t it risky to be out here by yourself under such circumstances? I mean I know this is a Holosuite program but still…what if you couldn’t call for help if you did get hurt?”

“I am, but none of the ones here bite,” Demil said. “And if one did, I always have a hypospray of epinephrine on my person, and in the real forest, my communicator had an emergency mode I could toggle by touch that contacted my family and medical services. I decided it was worth the risk.”

” That’s a hell of a risk to take.” Luna said. She would never let Cerenity risk her sadly like that.

Ensign Luna

“Yes, but I needed the escape. This was the best option,” he said, calmly and partially lost in his thoughts.
