Since when does a medical Ensign, a Doctor, fresh out of the Academy, get put as ‘acting’ command officer he thought as he hurried to the turbolift, making his way to the bridge.

Demil was in the biology lab, working on a genetics project, when the comm went off. He quickly brought his experiment to a pause, returned the various tools and samples to storage, and rushed to the bridge. Once the turbolift arrived, he took a seat at the operations console, his scientific skills better suited to that than the other critical stations. He spun the chair to face the command seats. “Orders, sir?”

Ensign Baptiste looked about the bridge, he had not taken the command seat, feeling it was truly not his place. “Where is Ensign Luna and NE Charles?” Baptiste inquired. “I believe they too were ordered to the bridge. Once they arrive, we will do as the Commodore commanded. While we wait for them to arrive contact Starbase 243 and begin clearance protocols.” ordered Johnathan. Just as Baptiste was making his inner thoughts run wild NE Charles would appear as well on the bridge, taking up the security and tactical station. “..Seems the lift to the bridge is busy today..” he commented while logging in.

A moment later Lis’s request for undocking came through, Starbase 243 wished them good luck.

Johnathan sighed, Ensign Luna had yet to arrive to the bridge, “Very well begin the process of unmooring the ship and retracting the drawbridges from the ship. Ensure the outer hull ports are closed once the drawbridges are withdrawn. Notify all personnel we are about to leave port and prepare for Warp.” he stated. “Helm, once all the moorings and drawbridges are withdrawn lay in a course for System J17 and ease us out of Starbase 243.” he commanded. He finally stated “And will someone please discreetly remind Ensign Luna she is required on the bridge. Que Dieu m’aide. J’espère ne pas gâcher cela. he thought in French. Demil quickly completed the requested tasks and made a ship-wide announcement that they were about to depart. He tapped through a few panels on the ops console and quietly contacted Luna’s combadge. =/\= “Ensign Luna, please report to the bridge.” =/\=
