Sifeda hopped in the turbolift and headed to Deck 11 where the counseling suites were located after she had finished meeting with all the other department heads. Her intention was to simultaneously complete two tasks at the same time, conduct her one-to-one meeting with the department head of counseling, and complete her onboarding psych evaluation.
On her way to see Marlaa she read her profile. Sifeda saw that she was half Romulan like herself, they also had similar eye colors and that is where their similarities essentially ended. Marlaa had suffered a few tragic losses and Sifeda could only relate through her human side as she hadn’t suffered such losses that she was aware of. Marlaa also appeared to have had a significantly different upbringing than what she had. In any case, she was eager to talk to the woman and find out what she was like.
When she reached the counseling suite she walked in, PaDD in the left hand, while both hands were behind her back, and asked whoever was there, “Is the Chief Of Counseling available? I do not have an appointment but I would very much like to talk to her.”

Marlaa had gone back to her quarters for her favorite tea. Coming back into the Counseling Suite, she smiled seeing the woman before the desk. “I’m Marlaa.” She volunteered just before the woman behind the small intake desk could reply. “No worries about an appointment. I’m usually available during the afternoons.”

Sifeda smiled at the woman and said, “Hey Marlaa. Thank you and its nice to meet you.”

Nodding to the XO, she tapped open her office door and held a hand out in offering. “Please, come on in.” Stepping in ahead of her, Marlaa went to the small replicator and set the decorative tin down on the counter. I was about to have some Rose Tea. Would you like a cup?” Glancing back over her shoulder, deep blue eyes would meet the XO as she came in. Mar’s uniform was near and crisp as if she’d only just put it on, desire the afternoon hour.

“I have not had rose tea before but I am not opposed to trying it.” She said as she sat down.

Her office was simple. The main thing the eye was drawn to was a star map as a large poster on the wall behind the desk. It was on transparent plasglass that allowed the soft grey color of the wall to show thru instead of the normal stark black of space. But instead of making it look gaudy, it made it almost ethereal in appearance.

Sifeda’s eye was drawn to the star poster on the wall. She pointed to it and said, “That’s interesting. Where did you find it? Is it custom made?”

Other small collectables lay around including a few strange looking rock chunks, a pencil sized piece of twisted metal, and a piece of what appeared to be glass, covered in a strange powder. These items lay across the front of the desk. A few actual books were on a nearby bookshelf along with a couple plants and a scattering of small figurines all made of glass in the shape of various animals from various planets.

“I can see you are a collector of things. I would love to hear how you came by the items one day.” She said as she carefully looked at each item on her desk. She didn’t touch them because she wasn’t sure just how precious they were to the counselor. “So I guess we get to talk. I am here to learn about you and you are here to learn about me. Where do you suggest we start?”
