[snip]The busy body NE came up to the counselor as she entered by Kyle, “..Ah hello ma’am, will you be participating in the theme today to educate the younger kids? If so what should I note you down as being dressed up as and from?” he asked.
GM CockRoach
Mar was about to respond to Kyle when the NE arrived. “No, I’m not dressed as anything special. Merely standard Earth like attire. Though I am sure such a simple cut is prevalent in many cultures.”
Turning back to Kyle, she gave a smile and slight nod. “Thank you. It is nice to not be so formal. And I am sure the stand down will allow everyone a chance to recover from our last mission.”
Somehow the Counselor always seemed to think of work, despite the festive atmosphere.

Just as the busy body NE got stated talking to Kyle, the doors to the lower 18-Forward area to port opened, and in came Commodore Andone. She was wearing the following attire, with the exception being a thin dark green wing like weave was down the torso to the legs. The high leg boots were replaced with a lower top pair and were not high heeled.
Next to her was her 13 year old half-human/romulan daughter Tel’eck, who was wearing something like the following. Complete with sheathed energy like holo blades on her back. The white parts though were instead a matching dark green like the wing weaving on her mother’s dress. And the grey had a slightly more polished look. Overall it seemed to be genuinely made out of plasti-metal parts for a form fitting yet comfortable like armor.
The teen soon took over to join some other teens coming in from the other areas, who were a mix of different getups, but overall 7 others of the group she joined seemed to have worked together to all take up some kind of sci-fi soldier/fighting mercenary unit look. An NE came over to talk to Drudoc about her get up but she was seen to shake her head indicating she was not taking part in any judging. Evidently the get up was just to look really good as as woman.

“..Hey there Ensign. Nice get up, I guess you’re participating in the theme and judging? Hope you got a little lesson overview for the younger kiddos who will be judging things later. What should I note your get up is from?” the NE asked.
“These are an example of a Trill ambassador’s ceremonial attire, from the 15th century by Earth’s calendar,” Demil said. “Is there any other information you need?”
Ens. Lis
”..Not at this time, no..” He said nodding to Lis before moving on.

Sifeda entered the lounge with both hands behind her back. She was not dressed in any special attire just her Starfleet uniform. Her hair was parted on the left and neatly swooped across her forehead back into a tight braided bun. Her face displayed a passive look while dark matte maroon lipstick covered her lips. Initially, she had considered showing up at the gathering in Klingon Battle armor which consisted of Klingon pointed armor on the shoulders, an armored collar, gauntlets on each wrist, Klingon spine armor to protect the back, and heavy leather boots that covered the calves. However, she decided against it as she didn’t want to be the only one dressed in a threatening or hostile uniform.
Sifeda spotted a group of teens in sci-fi soldier costumes and nodded approvingly at their warrior looks. Maybe she could have worn her costume, in any case, she was perfectly comfortable in her Starfleet uniform and she was sure there would be other opportunities to don her Klingon Battle attire and show off her Bat’leth. She spotted Commodore Andone and approached her, “Commodore!” she said as she held her hands out to her side to jokingly show off her uniform, “What do you think?” She made a full turn and smirked at the woman.

”..It is…” Drudoc began to reply but then V’alura spoke up.
“SIFEDA.” V’alura marched over to Sifeda and Drudoc from the group of scientists she was chatting with. “Tell me you are not wearing your UNIFORM!” V’alura said, aghast, one hand upon her chest, the other clutched tight around a glass of wine. “This is a PARTY and you came in your UNIFORM!” V’alura cast her gaze skyward as the hand from her chest went to her forehead. She looked as though she might faint from shock! This was too much for her poor, weak soul. No person could be expected to weather such. “You were given the perfect opportunity to dress up and yet you came in uniform!”
”..I mean she does have a point, Commander..” Drudoc said with a light teasing tone to it.
With a deep, unsteady breath V’alura pulled herself together. A single tear dripped down from the corner of her eye as she found the strength to persevere, “How could you do this? No, don’t speak. There is no excuse.” Such tragedy at this most sacred costume party. It was unforgivable.

”..Well given our post-mission parties after every mission are usually news to someone just coming aboard. It could be excused this time, could it not Lieutenant?” Drudoc again said with a teasing tone evidently getting in a bit of a ribbing on her new XO.
During the dramatic display of emotion, Sifeda rolled her eyes before she turned to face the half Vulcan woman. She couldn’t tell if the she was acting or being serious, either way she was annoyed. “Miss V’alura Belmont, why don’t you calm down.” She placed both hands on each of the woman’s shoulders as she spoke, “It is not as if the entire universe is being sucked in by a massive singularly. Honestly I’d rather be in the holodeck practicing my combat.”
She knew she was going to regret saying the next set of words but she put her hands behind her back and uncomfortably said, “Maybe next time you can help me pick out an outfit as I am not that accustomed to....these....types....of....gatherings.” Hopefully there would not be a next time.
Itri, XO
In the blink of an eye V’alura dropped the melodramatic act and grinned like the cat that caught the canary. Almost as though V’alura was hoping for those very words to be said. “Oh, I would be honored and delighted! Before the next party we’ll make a day of it. I’ll do your hair and make-up and we’ll find the perfect outfit to match! Just you wait it’ll be the perfect make-over ever known!” V’alura had a dreamy look in her eyes as she envisioned that day in the future. She was such a girly-girl at heart the only thing better than getting to dress up herself was getting to dress up others.
Drudoc spoke yet again, “..Indeed! I think that is an excellent idea. Getting caught up with usual ship operations and happenings..” Drudoc encouraged. And before much could be said in reply she took her leave, moving over to another area of 18-Forward.

“See you around, Drudoc,” V’alura waved as the CO took her leave, then turned her sharp-eyed gaze back to the XO. “Oh don’t act so tense. Parties are like battles in their own way. Especially the high society ones. Now those are dangerous to venture into. Only been to one and it nearly ended with an assassination. So, a failed assassination, and also there at least two honor duels. Wild stuff. Great wine, though.”
