After exiting the Defiant shuttlecraft which transported her to the USS Ark Angel, Sifeda stepped onto the ship, hand on the edge of the outer door for support, with a serious expression on her face as she was greeted by two Ark Angel security officers. She was dressed in her red and black pant uniform, her jet-black elbow-length hair was silky straight and neatly parted in the middle of her head covering her Romulan ears. It was her first Executive Officer role, and she was definitely feeling up to it. She was pleased to learn the Captain was a Romulan herself and although she was initially self-conscious about her half-human side, that went away as soon as she spoke to her.

Her belongings were being taken straight to her quarters which had been prepared in advance. One of the security officers approached her and handed her a PaDD. She calmly accepted it from him as she was sure it contained her first order of business: meeting the Department Heads and filling vacancies in the respective departments. However, before she did that, she needed to check in with her commanding officer just in case she had additional orders for her and of course, she wanted to see her face to face.

“Welcome to the Ark Angel,” said the one who handed her the PaDD. Sifeda nodded to him appreciatively and said, “Captain Andone is expecting me. Will you please escort me to where she is?” She wasn’t usually and always so drab and formal, but she wanted to make sure she made a good first impression and that she would be taken seriously as the XO of the ship.

“Of course, sir. Please follow me.” The security guard nodded to the other one and then motioned for Sifeda to follow him into the turbolift while his partner stayed behind to talk to the pilot of the Defiant.

After they exited the turbolift, they walked a short distance then the security officer stopped in front of a door. “I’ll leave you here. Again, welcome aboard, sir,” he said. This time Sifeda gave the man an audible response, “Thank you.” Then she turned and rang the chime on the door.
