USS Ark Angel
Side Sim - Post Mission Gathering - 17/18 Forward
[snip]
It was about 5 days later after the events in The Warrens, with everything now settled regarding that, and more or less everyone recovered and back to normal duty. As had become the Ark Angel’s tradition after every mission, Commodore Andone had announced their usual all day ship gathering for those when off duty between the hours of 0900 hours till 1900 hours. Attendance was not mandatory, but it was ‘encouraged’. It was said that as usual promotions, awards, and such would be likely for those who received such to be celebrated by their fellow crew mates. As was also the usual tradition a dress up theme was being given, though again not mandatory, it was ‘encouraged’ for those coming to take part to help educate and entertain the ship’s younger crew and have fun in general.
The theme this time given the events of their last mission were to highlight fashion/cultural trends from either the past, present or theorize about the future in such trends. Dress up had to be appropriate for viewing with the children, and participants had to be ready to do a basic Q/A on their attire and/or culture/time period. The children from the 4-10 age group on the ship would get to vote for their favorites, the winner would get the celebrations of their crew mates, but they also would receive a homemade meal by the ships 15-17 year old’s who were part of the ship’s life skills classes for the winner and a guest of their choice.
With all this said, it was now 0900 hours on the day the gathering was to start, for now mostly the 17/18 Forward staff were still busy settling up buffet tables, arranging random decorations in places, or the like.

Little Cereniry was spotted in the hall long before her mother who was on shift at the moment. She smiled and looked around as she entered. “it so pretty can I help?” She asked one of the staff members.
Cerenity
One of the later aged teens helping out put up last minute party decorations, turned at the young girl’s voice. “..Oh hey their kiddo! Well why don’t you take these four trays and take them back to Bobby in the kitchen there?” she said gesturing to a pair of swing doors, “..Bobby is about my height and dressed in some black jacket and pants. He’s in charge of making sure these trays are cleaned each time they are cleared..” she explained offering the four trays to the girl.
Demil entered the room, wearing white and gold robes, cinched at his waist by a sky blue belt, and a hooded cloak the same white as his robes. On his left hip hung a navy blue leather and brass scabbard. The sword that rested in it had a primarily gold hilt that housed a blue gem. He stood to the side, looking vastly out of place on a high-tech starship.
Ens. Lis
One of the adults helping to manage the party was a late-20s aged Ensign from ship’s operations. As Lis entered in his garb, the woman turned to her. “..Hey there Ensign. Nice get up, I guess you’re participating in the theme and judging? Hope you got a little lesson overview for the younger kiddos who will be judging things later. What should I note your get up is from?” She asked.
Kyle Anders never got use to how clothes from Earth’s 21st Century felt so tight and unforgiving. He’d set himself up with a dark blue dinner jacket and white shirt, one of his father’s prize ‘performance’ bow ties crossing the top of his shirt, matching the shade of his dinner jacket. After having to pull at his collar several times to make sure it was loose enough, he made his way at a brisk jog toward Eighteen Forward, the crew lounge aboard the Archangel. Having only visited this lounge on patrol a couple of times since becoming Security Chief, he realised that this party was a brilliant excuse to mingle with his Security team in an off duty setting. As he rounded the corner, he noticed a rather excitable little girl running from one end of the corridor to the other with what looked like a silver serving tray in both hands. Kyle chuckled to himself, There you are lass! he thought to himself as he walked over and bent to one knee on close approach to the girl he now realized as Cerenity, Ensign Luna’s young daughter, “You want to be careful lass, with skills like those, they’ll have you working in the mess hall as a sous chef in no time.” He stretched his hand out in a ‘high five’ gesture, “I’m Kyle, your mother and I are working together in Security.”
-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-
as Kyle approached Cerenity he would note the Breen Dagger hanging from her belt. She definitely was not supposed to have it. Most Adults dismissed it as a toy. She smiled “I use to help in sickbay on the Leviathan. Do you work with mommy? So you a security officer. She is on duty right now? She is always buzzy” She said with a bright smile.
Cerenity
“Ahh, a soon to be medic!” Kyle grinned, taking a quick glance down at the Breen weapon in the toddler’s pocket, “Quite a blade you’ve got there Cerenity, remind me not to get to close!”
-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-
Just as Anders got done replying to little Cerenity (and I’m assuming have given the NE Bobby the trays!), another adult in charge of things a mid-30s year old junior lieutenant from the ship’s science department came up, “..Morning sir,” he said to Anders then a nod to Cerenity, “..So looks like you’re participating in the judging later? What can I note you down as being dressed up from for the judging kids to be learning about?” he asked holding a PADD.
