This was a possibility, now that the Angel crew had a better bead on how to scan and target these things, they could try that. Though there was also somehow a possibility that it could ‘feed’ on the transport energy in some manner causing who knew what problems. But they could try it!

=^=I’m on my way!=^= Gavin said replying to Demil’s call. It would take Doctor Stacey around 4 minutes to travel from the bio lab to the Arboretum.

Katie continued to duck under and around the tentacles that came flying at her from the blob creature’s main body. One tendril was writhing along the floor toward her and she took the opportunity to stomp on it. The tendril pulled back, shot out at her again but stopped in mid air before pulling back into the creature’s body.

“Lis, I don’t think this thing is interested in chasing us. I think it just wants us to stay away from it,” Katie shouted. “Maybe we don’t need to get it into the corridor. Can’t the transporter crew lock onto it in here? Couldn’t they just transport it outside the ship into space?”
