The NE Nurse waited for the go ahead to lift up the deck plate, and the MACO NE nearby was clearly eager to do some shooting, “..About time I get to shoot something, that last lady in the NE’s quarters with these things wouldn’t let us deal with this blob thing properly, we’re not making that same mistake right?” he grumbled while adjusting his stance and grip on the raised phase rifle.

Trax let go of the deck plating and gave the reigns to the officer and moved away from possible fire from the maco he felt the itchy trigger finger he was pulsing. He said to the chief of security that entered. “Yes, apparently you did.” with a straight face as he moved beside the officer. “I think I might be safer here.” noting a bit of concern in Trax’s voice. hoping he notices the maco edgyness.

Jordy looks at the MACO NE and said. ‘We are not going to shoot it, if it does not attack us, so you better not shoot that weapon.’

The MACO NE just scowled back at Jordy, “..You’re not my commanding officer, so don’t go telling me what to do..” he said.

Thankfully the Synthesis CO stepped in, “..Maybe he’s not, Sargent, but I concur for now on his words. No shooting unless this blob thing attacks hastily.” he said.

Grunting a bit the MACO nodded, “..Aye sir..” he replied

Jordy looks at the NE Nurse and said. ‘I am ready i don’t know if the rest is.’

“I know I am ready.” Trax said still a bit unnerved by the touchy maco. answering Jordy quickly trying to be ready for anything. “Proceed nurse!” trax said kindly to her.

Masi waited with baited breath, braced to move when the hatch opened.

As much as Kyle was cautious, he knew that the creature probably meant no harm, so decided that arming himself with a tricorder rather than a phaser was the best option in this instance.

The NE Nurse nodded taking a breath then eased back the hatch, almost immediately things grew chaotic, the blob about the size of a small tennis ball, shot out of the floor panel. It immediately seemed to latch onto the NE Nurses’ right arm causing her to cry out as an immediate acidic sizzle was heard and soon smelled as her uniform in that area got eaten away. The NE Nurse’s reaction was also immediate pain was clear as the blob burned into her arm, crying out in pain she flailed about knocking her back into the shelf of various plants and other organic samples in the medical bay.

The shelf in turn fell over from the wall where it had been moved, spilling its wet, mushy, and such contents over the floor. The metal shelf itself, fell on top of the 50 some year old Synthesis CMO woman who also cried out in pain and surprise as it pinned her. Right as this all happened, the blob it seems got knocked free of the NE Nurse who fell to her knees clutching her burnt arm which had a good layer of skin eaten away and a sizable chunk of muscle showing and blood flowing. The blob took to the air and landed on a nearby biobed, where an appendage shot out and smashed into the biobed monitor cracking its screen and feeding on the energy within, the blob looked to be feeding on it.

“Anders, Klein, get the doctor free. Help her do what she can for the nurse.” Masi ordered quickly. She gestured for everyone to hold back as she took a gentle step towards the blob where it rested. It seemed like little more than a frightened animal on the surface, but she had to find out. She projected her thoughts to it. Hello there. She tried to project calm emotions along with the words. She felt a little foolish. Though she didn’t think anyone else would pick up on it if it didn’t work.
