”..Greetings Ensign,” Came a gruff male voice, turning he would find an NLT officer who seemed in charge of the bridge for now, “..I guess you must be one of our new arrivals huh? What’s your name and position?” the NLt asked.

OOC: Hello Steven! Welcome to STF, sorry I have not been able to personally reply to your email yet but as Katy can tell you I am a busy little roach wearing many hats inside and out of the club! So first just a few suggestions to help tidy up and improve your posts. 1) As you’ll see I retitled the topic line, typically in STF we try to label these in a way that fits the following layout Main/Side Sim - Location - Topic, in this case a main sim is anything related to the current sim run by me your GM (or whoever it might be on another ship!), side sims are anything else not related to that, typically they take place either before the main sim begins, after the most main sim ends, or sometimes at undisclosed times somewhere else with the main sim. 2) While your words are fine above, I might suggest expanding a little on your details of arrival, in this case I assume you are trying to meet Drudoc on the bridge to the ready room, obviously you don’t want to judge barge into that room without getting permission to enter, so I would suggest adding some details above your first reply line detailing coming onto the bridge and hitting the chime for the ready room then wait for a reply from me for you to enter, and THEN introduce yourself, the bit about using science is fine, but perhaps wait till Drudoc inquires about your skills etc. Consider it this way if a person you hardly know or never met comes barging into your room, introduces themselves, and launches into what they do out of the blue, you would probably be either miffed, confused, or a mix of all sorts of feelings. 3) Lastly, at the end of your post you always want to ‘sign off’, by this I mean you want to end a post with your rank, character name, and ship’s position, I’ve written in the best way for you to do that above already. The main reason we do this is to easily see where your reply begins and where it ends for those who come next. In short try to give a little more details to your post and let them flow in a smoother fashion, don’t feel bad if you don’t get this straight away it’ll come to you in time and its what we’re all here to help out and contribute together in writing!
