Given Drudoc’s no nonsense attitude and professionalism during a mission she did not seem to take much personal stock in Marlaa’s appearances at the present time. “..Seems to me we are dealing with a quite unique organism here. One we are unwillingly inside of, as is the Synthesis. In effect each of us are out of our normal place in space and time, what this might mean when or if we can leave will be of concern and interest come at that point..” she stated.

Mar looked at the readings and frowned. “If we can’t get a fix on it, then maybe we need to find a way to calm or follow it.” Leaning in to glance at the info, she frowned. “I don’t suppose simply going in reverse would suffice?” She gave a small laugh to let the Captain know she wasn’t serious.

Marlaa CNS

Drudoc seemed to legitimately consider the counselor’s suggestion, then shrugged. “..Without further information it would be impossible to say, this creature covers over 4 light years of space, in theory all we need to do is retrace our path of entry. However, given it seems to operate outside the normal rules of science for space and time, as well as quantum realities it is impossible to say..” she answered.

About this point, while the new CNS, Drudoc, and the rest of the NEs on the bridge went about their duty, Drudoc rose from her center chair and moved over to the rear aft quarter of the bridge. If the CNS decided to follow they could see she was pulling up information on the ship’s computer about any references to reality breaking anomalies of the sort they were now facing. Slowly blank lines of text went up on the screen in front of her. Drudoc’s look showed she was not happy with the lack of results.

Drudoc turned away from her scanning of the ship’s library with no results. Clearing the screen she returned to her center chair in the middle of the bridge. “..NE Borns any updates from the Synthesis?” she asked.

NR Borns turned in his chair from the side comm station, “..Part of the away team has returned to the ship in the biology lab. Report says they captured one of the ‘blobs’ on that ship in 22nd century forcefield emitters. Reports from the remainder of the team on the Synthesis say they’re working on finding the 2nd ‘blob’ now..” he reported.

”..Indeed? Interesting, has there been any changes with the immediate area of the Warrens?” she inquired, looking over to the NE at the science station now.

NE Brads spoke then after a moment, “..Nothing that stan----wait correction we are picking up some shifting energy patterns about .5 light years outside the system we’re in right now. Hard though to make out any details though due to the localized interference..” he said.

Drudoc scratched at her cheek thoughtfully, “..Launch a pair of class-5 probes, alert me once we get more details..” Drudoc said. Turning then to the counselor, “..Lieutenant Marlaa, would you care to visit our ‘blob’ guest in the biology lab? If you believe you could contribute any insight to its behaviors…” she asked then.

Once her team understood their orders and knew where they were headed, V’alura took her leave of the science labs and booked it straight to the bridge. Once arrived, she walked up beside Drudoc, “Captain, I have some rather astounding news about the blob we’ve captured and the Warrens itself that you’ll want to hear. From our analysis of small sample from one of these blobs we’ve learned that they are not singular organisms but most likely parts of a larger whole. A whole that could very well be this entire nebula. These creatures are not entirely in phase with time or space, and that’s how the Synthesis came to be here, it’s why they haven’t sent out their distress signal. Because they were swept up in some part of the creature that phased them out of time!”

V’alura took a breath, along with a mental reminder to slow down, “It seems that these blobs can absorb energy and technology and are in turn attracted to them. When I was on the Synthesis the two blobs were at their computer core but once I became aware of them they fled. That’s how they got split up and we were able to corner one. I have sent some of my science officers to investigate our computer and warp core just in case and to secure them. There’s more, I have our findings so far copied onto this PaDD.”
