Once the team arrived at the nearby biology lab, the computer beeped at the request by Lis to begin its work. Soon enough results got posted on a nearby holo-screen, from this they could obtain the following bits of information!

1) The sample did indeed have organic components to it! In fact they were quite complex organic components going off the sample it was a lifeform that probably could exist as easily in atmosphere as it could live and thrive in the vacuum of space and for that matter elsewhere even!

2) The sample did give off emissions similar to many known cloaking devices! However, in this case it was not a technological achievement but some kind of complex biological chameleon effect. From what little they could tell there was evidence that it used complex bio-electrical fields to phase in and out of the visual spectrum, as well as emit a very low resonance frequency that would interact with other biological organisms making them unable to perceive the object at their will. Conversely these two same properties also meant that scanning devices like the tricorder would have a difficult if not near impossible time getting readings. But with this now known they could easily adapt tricorders and internal scanners to better track and scan for these things!

3) Also feeding off this information was evidence that they were not necessarily dealing with two or more organisms but probably only ONE as a whole. There was enough living cellular activity in the sample to show that each cell operated as a single individual but this meant nothing without further interactions with other cells, in effect making up the single overall organism.

4) Next, there was evidence that this organism whatever it was operated outside the known properties of space and time. It somehow literally had the ability to phase all of itself or parts of itself to any point along the temporal stream, enter or leave presumably then other temporal realities or spacial points, etc. This last bit of information could explain how the Synthesis was here and how they in turn were here interacting with them.

5) Conversely to the above point the organism it seems had some strange ability to absorb the electrical energy of a living organism’s bodily energies and in turn brain activity into its own self, probably this was how it could learn or see or something.

6) Lastly, there was evidence that this organism or least parts of it would or could feed on living and technological signatures.

Putting this all together Lis could on this 4th point make the theory that perhaps must to any known scientist’s achievement the massive area of space they were now in known as The Abyss was in fact this massive multi-light year spanning organism! In effect multitudes of its body were in many different points of time, space, and realities at once! Again explaining how they had encountered the Synthesis, how the distress call that had brought them here had been from the Synthesis’s future but they had arrived before said call went out, and most likely it explained how so many different ships and raises had vanished over the long years of The Abyss being known. These ships had likely been phased from some other time/spacial position/reality!

For the others the 6th point of information was also of interest, they likely could theorize that in the Synthesis’s future one or more parts of this space borne organism had fed on the ship’s computer core, causing the loss of the ship’s control and them sending out the distress call that had brought them here!

“Well isn’t this something?” Ensign Stacey asked rhetorically. Gavin’s eyes nearly bulged a bit after reading that this being could possibly be devouring the living. Still not fully understanding the meaning, the doctor turned to Demil. “Does this mean that those blobs could be feeding off the ship, or us?” He asked. There was a concerned undertone to his voice. They couldn’t be 100 percent sure of that at the moment, and maybe it wouldn’t be wise for them to find out.

“It looks like. What I find more interesting and concerning is that we might be inside one giant organism, and that organism is phasing between different times,” he said. =/\= “Lis to Belmont,” he said, tapping his combadge. “I have something interesting.” =/\=

Over the open comm line there was the muted sound of......something....happening near Valura what it was through was impossible to say.

Gavin raised an eyebrow at the comm. “It appears your Chief might be a tad occupied at the moment.” The Doctor stated, having no clue what was occurring on the other end of the call. He could only imagine they had found something interesting as well.

A few moments later the line opened again. =^=Belmont to Lis. Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve just captured one of the organic signatures detected aboard the Synthesis. Some strange green blob organism. We’re now preparing to transport it, either to the Syntehsis’ science labs or to ours. I’ll figure that out in a bit. What have you found on the AA?=^=

Gavin’s eyes beamed after hearing they captured a blob. “Oh, oh… tell her to beam it here!” Doctor Stacey exclaimed in a loud whisper. The Ensign began fanaticizing about the amount of data he would be able to collect of the thing. There was no telling what kind of things could be created from the findings; the natural clocking mechanism, the ability to change form, time phases.
