Just as Valura finished talking she was joined from behind by two of the Synthesis’s MACO NE’s armed with phase rifles. They skidded to a halt about 5ft back from her looking about in a bit of confusion and suspicion of her, “..What is going on here?” one asked.

“You have a green slime-” V’alura started to explain.

From inside the muted sound of something fragile crashed to the ground, a second later muted shouts and screeches was heard from a male voice, then a second after that another fragile sounding thing crashing to the ground. It seems the person inside had not heard or else was too frightened/busy to respond to her request for entry or to reply to her.

The MACOs though hearing this stepped forward, and hit a security override switch, dashing into the small non-com quarters to either side they would see an NE hurling shirts, pants, boots, and more around the room. Here and there from one end of the room to the other the appearing/vanishing green blob that Valuara had chased here was seen. The MACOs tried to be tracking it with their rifle movements to shoot it but they weren’t having much luck given its lightening movements. “The hell is that thing! NE Charles get out of here!” one of the MACOs snapped as two pulse energy busts hit the wall scarring it where the blob had been a split second before to no effect.

The green blob! V’alura watched as the blob easily dodged every incoming projectile sent it’s way. Phasing. . . but it can’t phase through solid objects, else it would be going through the walls right now. Right? Then the first round of phaser rifles went off and V’alura came into the room, shouting, “Wait! Hold your fire! Even if you could hit it we don’t know enough about this organism!” No matter who strange or sudden the appearance, they knew nothing about these green blobs. “We need to catch it for study not kill, er, splat it!”

Which, how did they catch it? If V’alura was right and this blob can’t actually phase through solid material then they should be able to contain it with something. She eyed the articles of clothing on the floor. Could that work? And if she had something to hold it in then to catch it. . . Instead of chasing it around, they could possibly chase it right towards her!

The MACOs held off firing anymore for the moment, looking to Belmont. “..And how do you propose we do that?” One asked as he ducked under one of the lightning fast blob’s movements that went by his head.

Looking around Belmont could see a variety of tossed clothes, and uniforms. Smashed up more fragile things, PADDs, a hand scanner of late 22nd century design. Not much really stood out as being a container. The closest was one of the removable drawers on a cabinet......maybe that could work? The next question was how they chase it to her to trap?

V’alura seized the drawer and turned to the MACOs, “Can you alter the beam your rifles fire at all? Like reduce the power or alter the shape of the beam fired?” If they could reduce the energy output and increase the spread to turn a single beam into a cone of energy they could create a reverse net. If they fire the modified beams into the room and if their aim was just right, the one safe place for the blob to travel to would be right in front of her.

The turbolift door just up the corridor opened and Katie pushed the anti-grav cart into the hallway. LtJg V’alura and LtJg Belmont weren’t far away.

“I have four pairs of portable force-field projectors here that may be of some help,” she said. That was when she actually caught her first glance of a green blob. “If we can set some of them up at appropriate locations, we may be able to prevent whatever that is from getting out of the area.”
