The thought seemed preposterous at first but it felt like there was an element of the possible. Assuming it could be done with the technology of this era.

“Perhaps we could modify the ship’s internal forcefields… at the maximum power the circuits will support … and slow whatever these things are enough…”

Her words trailed off as she frowned at Miz’uki. Was such a thing even possible?

The Synthesis’s chief engineer nearby hearing this spoke up, “..Yeah we got about 8 force emitters down in cargo bay 4 down the hall on this deck, on the port side. Should be in....” He picked up a PADD checking something, “..should be on row 2, level 1 near the floor in box uh....13, 14, 15, and 16, 2 emitters are in each box with their contained power cell and control box..” he said.

“Good. So that’s one tool we might be able to use,” Katie said nodding at the chief engineer. “If we retrieve them from the cargo bay, we could set them up…” And once again, her idea was running out of fuel.

“Where?”

“I don’t know,” Katie said. She frowned for a moment and then tapped her communicator. “Ensign Hobbes to Ark Angel Transporter team. Are you making any progress getting a lock on either of the entities?”

“If you have a record of their locations, forward it to me,” Katie said. After a quick glance at the Synthesis chief engineer, she continued. “And to the Synthesis chief engineer.”

“Perhaps we can find a pattern to their movements and from that decide where to try our forcefield trap.”

“Sounds good lets go grab them and get set up to try and trap this thing Hobbes can you keep tracking the thing we need to be able to corner it” she purred her tail swishing about as they were starting to form a plan

The chief engineer nodded, turning to another Vulcan NE “..Ensign Vorth take these two to cargo bay 4, and assist them in retrieving our force field emitters there..” he said.

Vorth nodded stoically, “..Very well sir.” he said to his superior, “..If you two will follow me..” he then added to the Ark Angel pair.

Leaving through the hatch of the engine room the trio went a bit ways down the length of the ship until arriving to the port side of the deck to cargo bay 4, opening the latch hatch they entered to a row of shelves and boxes. Grabbing a anti-grav cart the Vulcan engineer moved to where things were indicated. “..Did you want all 8 of them? Or just a pair or something?” he asked.
