The Tellarite gave a bark of understanding and tapped a control on the inside of the phaser rifle, ‘This puppy normally can only handle two beams at once when set that way right? Well, what if we could split the beams further to allow for four beams to be fired simultaneously, it’s very precise, but worth a try in my book!’

Remon looks down at the phase rifle. “So this is more about rate of fire? Or hitting four targets at once?” He leans and looks closer.

“I like the idea. Would spliting the beams reduce the power? Or efficency of the power cells?”

OOC: Sorry! Not doing very well with keeping up on this am I?

Rog sniggered, “Not if I can help it Ensign.” The Tellarite clicked the panel on the rifle closed and took aim at a target on the opposite wall, looking back at Remon with a grin, “Stand back kid, this could be messy!” Tog gripped the back of the rifle tightly and pressed the trigger; in an instance the rifle’s casing turned a dark mustard yellow colour. Tog gave a quick Tellarite curse and dropped the rifle before ducking behind a wall. On the floor, the rifle seemed to bubble for a few seconds, then fizzed out in a cloud of light grey smoke.

“Well, I think you may want to rethink the power distribution. That would of been a bad burn.” Remon smiles at the Tellerite.

“I better go and see the cheif. Nice to meet you.”

He walks by the bubbling rifle, and laughs.

He rings the office bell.
