Jordy could of course begin with an examination of the Synthesis’s weapon and defense systems. It was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for him to get a real life feel for a ship built in the 2160s just after the founding of the Federation. Considering how far technology had come from then till now in the late 24th century he probably would not get another chance like this, plus he could uncover some clue that might explain how a ship of that vintage was here in one piece, seemingly only months after its launch and without trouble that had drawn the Ark Angel here. Especially given no known temporal anomalies had been detected by either ship.

Jordy thinks about what he shall do, he thinks about doing an examination of the weapon and defense systems. Jordy looks at the Synthesis Captain ‘Can you tell me where the weapon and defense systems are?’

The Captain looked at Jordy, “..Any usual diagnostics or such can be accessed from the armory here. If you want something more in depth you’d need to probably get into the guts of the system you want out on the hull. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with that option though for a variety of reasons which I hope you’ll understand..” he replied.

‘Alright.’

While the captain answered the En’s question, V’alura pulled out her tricorder for a quick scan of the room. Specifically, she was scanning for any traces of strange organic anomalies. Might as well and try. If En Stacey’s data was anything to go by then this thing either had a very short life or was on the move. . .

Scans by Belmont did not turn up anything matching what the science team had sent over on their own scans. That was until she turned in the direction of the aft of the ship/room and down the hall near where the computer core access was on this deck she picked up a brief pair of blips which might have been organic in nature matching what the team had sent. At a guess it was indeed on the move away from the Core, and seemed either quite fast, or else was in some kind of ‘phasing’ pattern that her tricorder was having trouble picking up/locking onto.

Masi noted V’alura’s scanning. “Anything interesting Lieutenant?”

OOC: Which system is jordy checking out? You got the phase cannons, photonic torpedo launchers, and shield systems, and the hull polarization systems. Also please provide me info on what he’s looking for, or what kind of scans or diagnostics etc is he performing?

V’alura was ready to hang up the towel on her little impromptu scanning when all of a sudden her tricorder beeped and flashed and showed two little blips on the move (well, it looked like they were moving!). “Goodness gracious!” Then, because her scientific mind was far quicker and more eager than her rational mind, she darted off, chasing after the organic blips. Maybe if she’s fast enough she could catch up, or get a better reading or. . . or something!

“Lieutenant!” Masi called. “Well, it seems Lieutenant Belmont is onto something…” she remarked. “Captain, what’s down that way?”

The Captain blinked as Valura ran off, he turned before replying to the XO indicating two MACO NEs, “..Private Alan and Marks, you two go after her, make sure nothing happens to her or the ship!” he said, both MACO NEs nodded and took off armed with basic phase pistols.

Turning back to the XO then he replied, “..Port side is non-com and jo quarters, and access to the computer core, as well as the weapon launching tubes fore and aft for our photonic torpedoes. And the armory which we’re already in.” he said.

“Computer core…” Masi thought for a second. “Captain, whatever it is Lieutenant Belmont is onto… it may be connected to something else, an organic anomaly of some kind, detected in your computer core. I’m not a scientist, but she is. And she seems to think it’s urgent.”
